I have shot in the world’s most popular metropolis – New York City, London, San Francisco, Hongkong, Seoul, etc., and they are my very favorite locations to shoot because they are modern, cosmopolitan, and full-of-life. But I must admit that the idea of shooting in Paris gave me butterflies in my stomach, because no matter where I’ve been and how popular those cities were, Paris is still the city of love, and one of the most photographed at that. So the challenge really wasn’t to show love, which would be fairly straight-forward, it was the opportunity to show love in Paris in a different perspective, in a way that would be different to what people would instantly expect from a prewedding shoot in Paris.
So armed with nothing but the desire to shoot beautifully in Paris AND a very good shooting tip that I got from one of my awesome wedding photographer friends form Singapore, we went on and shot Pau and Karim’s e-session in the most well-liked spots in the city. And what I found out was that there was absolutely NOTHING to worry about and absolutely EVERYTHING to love about Paris. The city uplifts you, embraces you, and consumes you.
We shot throughout the day and I just loved the diversity of photographs that we got, thus I decided to split the posts so the viewers can appreciate and feel the photos more. Today we’re featuring Pau and Karim’s prewedding photos from the Louvre Museum and the evening shots with the Eiffel Tower.
So please enjoy the photos and do watch out for the second part of the feature tomorrow :)
