Outside of the Philippines and the US, the country that I have shot the most is Greece. Nevermind the disorder that’s imparing the country right now, it is still one of the most stunning places on earth. And Santorini has been a favourite of mine even before the first time I’ve visited the place. My trip to Santorini this year marks the 5th time I’ve not only set foot on the island but seized the island as well by the photographs I am able to create. It’s truly a blessing and it’s unbelievable how magnificent the island really is. It’s just an inexhaustible source of splendour – there are always newer and more beautiful spots to discover and shoot each time.

The post-wedding shoot of Maripet and Lexter took us back to the famed towns of Santorini. It was spring and most establishments were busy preparing for the hoards of tourists that were set to arrive in a few weeks. The weather still has a bit of cold sting but the opportunity to shoot with great sunlight and very few people was much welcomed. The couple just celebrated their wonderful wedding in Philippines a few weeks before and Santorini was the place were we would have a more laid back shoot with no time pressure and, with the given season, almost no restrictions as well. But wasn’t easy, and given how huge Apet’s gown was, it was a few times more challenging for her. We started in Imerovigli, then to the capital Fira where we took a traditional boat out for a nice sail around the caldera and finished off, where else, but in Oia.

The time we had there was short, but with the shoot and the chance to reconnect with the friends that we have already made through there our visits, Santorini has left another great story in our hearts. May the photos of Maripet and Lexter leave a great story as well in yours. Enjoy.
