Jackie is my absolute bride crush, a statement unto itself given how gorgeous each and every metrophoto bride is and how special they all are to me. Her wedding was every photographer’s dream, the details were all splendid, we love every person they chose to work the event, she has the most stunning bridal suite, and of course the most gallant of grooms. Yet the thing that set her apart happened several months before that, when we shot my very first Tokyo pre-wedding shoot.
Jackie is spirited but not fearless, the genuine look of hesitation that precedes every nod or yes while unsettling is also very cute. If you saw the things we had them do in Japan, you would understand the hesitation but you wont see a shred of it in the photos. I’ve never seen a more evoking photo of anyone lying on a street – much more the street of Shibuya. Her smile is not a killer but it is something that is difficult to say no to yet she never uses it to make anyone of say yes to her, she just smiles because she is always happy like that. Finally, and for reasons I really cannot say, she is one of the nicest, truest, snd most ethical persons you can ever find, yet she still has an interestingly defiant side to her. She’s one of a kind and deservingly she had no other than Jim to marry. They make one of the most endearing couples and I am just born under a lucky star to know them and shoot them.
