The architecture and feel of Santorini in Greece is perhaps one of the most imitated in the world. I mean the place is just so magnificent that people get so inspired or obsessed with it that those who can, try to make their own little Santorini when they get back to their home countries. I’ve seen a lot of resorts that are Santorini-esque even in Cabo, Mexico and more definitely in the Philippines.

I’ve shot in the more popular Santorini-inspired resorts here in the Philippines – Bellaroca in Marinduque and Thunderbird in Poro Point, but little do I know that there is this yet-popular house on the cliffs of Tagaytay (another caldera like Santorini) that is every bit like a traditional greek house. Meteora (named likely after a town in Greece), is a quaint and very impressive Samtorini-themed vacation house. I’ve never seen it this close to the real thing – from the plants, the housewares, and more definitely in the architecture, I felt being teleported to the mediterranean.

So the place got me going and Ron and Jen, who were very shy at first but turned out to be really great in front of the camera, connected with the place, through the photos, like it was their own. Everything about this shoot was lovely.

Special thanks to Kate Hernandez for the Make-up and Teena Barretto’s team, Tusha, for the styling. :) Enjoy the photos.
