I won’t blame you if at first glance you’ll get confused if this post is indeed about a wedding because it seems to have all the elements of a debut celebration. There are the ultra vibrant fuchsia and purple color themes that totally pops out of the lush green colors of the pine trees, then you’ll see girls wearing the same colors combinations that look so young and they are quite plenty you’d think they were the 18 candles. And of course the key piece of doubt is that our couple, more notably our pretty bride Lyanne, looked young enough to just be celebrating her 18th birthday than marrying her high school sweetheart Dani. As you may have figured out by now, this is of course about the wedding of Dani and Lyanne in one of our favorite local destinations which is Baguio.

We’ve recently featured a wedding in Baguio and yet we’re here featuring one again :) We always think that there are so much possibilities to any location to make each one unique and still very much beautiful and elegant. We owe it to our couples that invest in Metrophoto to make sure that we provide the time and that distinction to their wedding so that they can call it their own and simply not templatative if there’s even a word. hehehe. Dani and Lyanne is no exception, they have their own unique parts and photographs that they can proudly claim as unique to them only.

Indeed there was a time in this world when Baguio City was considered by many as tranquil, pristine, and much so quaint. The people go about their simple lives uninterrupted by what’s happening outside, or should I say below and beyond their own little civilization up in the mountains of the Cordillera.

And then Luzan, together with her minions led by Teena Barreto and Badang Rueda arrived. Baguio is suddenly changed forever.

For the better of course. What seemed to be an undefiled place is suddenly more fun – you can hear laughter coming from so far away you can’t even begin where to look; more fabulous – nice cars, intricate flower set-ups, fine jewelry, etc.; and definitely more beautiful – the place was packed with good-looking people that you’d actually second guess if the mestizos are here to invade us again. hahaha.

Luzan’s wedding to JB last month in Baguio was a long-awaited event up north. It had the makings of grandness, impeccability and that little touch of eccentricity. From all the nice details, the past colorful history of some people, the packed Baguio Cathedral, the naughtiest best man speech I’ve heard, up to having the most amusing and yet the most lovely couple ever, this is one wedding that will not only rewrite Baguio’s history but Metorphoto’s as well.

Thanks again to JB (who endured our 15-min hike on mud and horse dung just to make our portrait session possible) and Luzan (who took the same hike but on top of a horse and was talking and laughing and screaming al throughout) for such a wonderful experience. It had been weeks already but I still feel it like it’s just yesterday, specially when I haven’t cleaned my shoes and they still smell of horse shit.

I’m currently chilling in the middle of the California winter. This probably the only time that I’m appreciating the relatively high heat that my laptop is producing, on most occasion it is a nuisance. The temperature reminds of the nice and cold Baguio wedding of Wayne and Karon last December. The only thing different is that the heat that was generated then came from the warmth of all the people who took part in their wonderful wedding. It was such an unforgettable one for us. :)

I rarely get to go to Baguio to cover weddings but of the very few times I’ve done so, it has always been a wonderful and tranquil experience, something only such a place can provide. Of course I also never leave the city without both an awesome set of photos and a Starbucks city mug. hahaha. 

The wedding of Marlon and Camille is all of those and more. =) It was a fabulous wedding with the hint of calmness that’s inherent in the place. We enjoyed each and every moment of it plus of course the fact that I don’t get to sweat as profusely as I normally do because of the nice weather.
