It is time for part two of my SIngapore back-to-beck e-session feature. What I love about both these shoots from the Lion City are that they are very much different and yet they are very much the same. Different in the sense that the locations, the concepts, the poses, and the feel were very unique to the couples and to the spots we shot in. Also same in the sense that the style, the realness, and the diversity of the shots, which are signatures to all Metrophoto shoots, were all there.

For this edition we’re bringing you the photos from the shoot of Alvin and Dorothy. Going for the concept of “live, laugh, and love”, it aptly represents their lives having each other – and Singapore was the perfect place since both of them are based there already. We chose three different locations for each verb in the concept. Starting out with ‘live’, we shot inside the Singapore National Museum for its classic architecture and culture. Then we headed off to the bandstand of the Singapore Botanical Gardens for “laugh” where the atmosphere is light and very open. To complete the concept with ‘love’ we concluded on top of the Herderson Waves bridge somewhere south of the city. The night shots in a very modern architectural setting provided a more dramatic feel that was a perfect finish to the day.

This has been one of my most fun and memorable shoot as besides Alvin and Dorothy being immensely nice and enjoyable to be with, we had a team consisting of old and new friends. And I would like to thank my old friend from high school, Buddie, my hothouse alumni, Jon and his friend Bong for all the help, it wouldn’t have been this awesome if not for them. Special thanks also goes to Myca Velarde-Feng for dolling-up Doray and for offering to give us all a ride – it was impossible for us to all fit in her car but at least she offered. hahaha. Enjoy the photos.

Recently, Metrophoto and Dino Lara went to Singapore and teamed-up to shoot engagement sessions of unparalleled creativity and rawness. And to make the entire experience even more unprecedented, Madge Lejano worked her own skills to doll-up our already beautiful bride, Christa and her fiance, Ernest. And just to add a big-name element to what is already a huge line-up, Jason Magbanua was there to add spice and everything else that’s nice. This, everyone, is what we call, The Yin-Yang Experience.

From the helix bridge to way up the skypark on top of the new Singapore Sands Marina (where what we did is actually not allowed), we had a day filled with nothing but pure awesomeness. Ok, there were a few dorkiness here and there but don’t blame me for that. hahaha.

So here are the photos from Metrophoto’s side of the fence, which is of course just half of the puzzle. =) Enjoy them and the some outtakes at the bottom of the post =)

Dino Lara, for me he’s Merlin of the wedding photography world – not because he’s old (because clearly he’s not!) but because he’s the Master =)

At work and getting all creative.

While we were there, we chanced upon a seemingly random couple.

Thanks for Jmag for being our light-painter. =)

And to Marvin for the extra pair of hands ;)

An E-session in Singapore were we found ourselves on top of the roof of Chimes as cars along Orchard Road pass by.

Here’s another of one of my favorite shoots in Singapore. How can I not love this session of Marvin and Jesy when we had the opportunity to shoot on top of the roof of Chimes right in front of Orchard Road. It was fun and intense and I wanna call out both of them for being brave enough (and criminal enough) to do something illegal. hahaha. Im kidding =)

We finished off around the Fullerton area where the nightscape and the scenes were fantastic. Truly an awesome experience and even awesomER photos. hahaah! enjoy =)

An awesome engagement session in the recently-opened Universal Studios in Singapore.

It’s always a great feeling being in Singapore, there is something in this city that just inherently inspires me as an artist and as a visitor. And while I can’t exactly pinpoint what that is, what I’m sure is that this trip will yet again be over-the-top as we are rolling the first of our Yin-Yang experience series.

Now as we get the Yin-Yang phenomenon going here in Singapore with Dino Lara and Madge Lejano (and Jason Magbanua), I thought it’s the perfect time to showcase my e-sessions in Singapore from my last trip here a couple of months back. =)

For this post, I’m sharing the photos of Bem and Ahn from Universal Studios in Singapore.

Hope you enjoy these as much as we enjoyed shooting in the theme park sans the rides =)
