I know I always describe our weddings as ‘fun’. I also know that it is likely to be the most expected adjective to describe a wedding – well that adjective could also be ‘nice’, ‘hot’, ‘long’ – depending on who you ask, but I’d expect that it is still ‘fun’ most of the time because how simply else could it be? :) But there is a spectrum to the degree of ‘funness’ of a wedding and today’s feature will bring us to the funnest side of that.

Everything in life is relative and since this wedding is dearly special to me, I must admit that there is bias and really it was already fun even before it started. Actually if we have to go to the start, we have to go back to August last year when I met Bog and Jade for the first time in New York the night before their e-session. Together with us we’re some really really awesome company and we spent a night of stories and sangrias in the meat-packing district, thus ‘fun’ was redefined and elevated right from there. And it was the start of great experiences together up to the day of their wedding – where the same people that were with us in our unforgettable moments in New York were present. If that weren’t enough, they also booked an awesome supplier line-up that totally rocked everything about the wedding and as a perfect silver lining, two of my lovely metrophoto couples were also there to celebrate (three of the four of them were even part of the entourage).

I felt that I could go on and describe how ‘fun’ it was even more, but I know you already get what I mean and I also know that the photos will tell more of the story so much better than I can try to describe it. So yes, check out the photos and relive this wonderful wedding of Bog and Jade.

The Manila Cathedral is one of the most beautiful churches here in the Philippines yet it if you ask many photographers and videographers, it usually doesn’t come out as a favorite. I can’t blame them, the church administration is strict, the exact list of photographers and videographers are required, and each and every one needs and their individual permits after they go through an orientation. During the ceremony, there are probably twenty other guidelines that needed to be followed. Yet I have grown to like the Manila Cathedral, I have learned to work within those rules to still manage to get the shots that we want.

Yet on this wedding day of Moshe and Sarah, more strict rules that were enforced. A recent survey of this centuries-old church revealed cracks that made it unsuitable for use. This prompted the church to immediately stop all services and finish a handful of scheduled weddings before it closes for renovation – yes including this wedding. It was weird to hear an evacuation briefing after the bridal march but I’m sure that I was for everyone’s safety.

In the end, despite a little more tension, the wedding was as wonderful as it was meant to be. If anything, the scare all the more made this even more unforgettable. Enjoy the photos.

Before you all acquire an English accent because of our London series, we’re putting it on hold (but just momentarily, or should I say after a few posts) to feature a few of Metrophoto’s recent weddings in Manila.

First off is Kerwin and Mary’s wedding several weeks ago. If those names ring a bell, don’t guess any further. That’s because this beautiful couple has been blogged twice already! yes, in this very same website :) First, it was their super steamy e-session and then, it was their photos as models for Metrophoto’s hothouse workshops. I know you’ve missed them and I know that there is no such thing as overexposure to photos as lovely as these so here they are again :)

Enjoy the photos from that rainy June weekend and including the couples’ beautiful bridal car breaking down after the ceremony in Manila :)

Bridal car mishap. Don’t worry, it was all fun :)

Facebook pretty much eats-up all of the time I have whenever I’m online. Well that and the NBA when something interesting is happening (and honestly event he current playoff events seem to still be in it’s boring stage). Since I’m in China, where facebook is nowhere to be accessed and since it’s the holy week and people arent really putting-up anything anyway, I thought it’s the best time to catch-up on some more blog posts of my intensely beautiful weddings late last year and early this year. :)

This post features the wedding of Paolo and An in San Agustin Church and in Sofitel Philippine Plaza. You can find all pretty little details throughout the event-thanks to details diva Ernest Pascual for the always fabulous work that just always takes wedding detail design to the next level.

Enjoy the photos :)
