Pre-Wedding

Anne and Don | Cappadocia Pre-wedding Photographer (Part 2)

Be sure to check part 1 of this 2-part Cappadocia series of Anne and Don. There are so many things to talk about today’s Cappadocia pre-wedding shoot feature: about how great it is to be back shooting here again, about how we had some interesting ideas from the previous trip that we were able to execute this time around, about how this amazing place just never gets old, and many many other things. But the best thing about today’s feature of this Cappadocia engagement session is that mere descriptions don’t give it justice. We have a breathtaking set of photos and a wonderful behind-the-scenes video that will not only show you how unique this experience is, but also take you there, exactly where the heart of the action took place. From the Cappadocia hot air balloons, to the primitive stone churches, and all the beautiful spots this part of Turkey has to offer, we made sure that we show what Cappadocia is all about, and more. Very grateful to Anne and Don for letting us experience Cappadocia once again. Enjoy. ____________ Suppliers: Photo: Oly Ruiz Make-up: Mark Qua Styling: Adrianne Concept

Kim and Graeme | A Palawan Pre-wedding Special

Every couple that we shoot are distinct and we make sure we highlight those distinctions even further with shoots that identifies them and that they can totally call their own. Sometimes we even come up with names, hashtags, or terms to describe them or their shoots. Their photos, their wedding and they themselves become little icons that people remember them by. Recently we’ve had terms like “The Bucketlist Wedding” and even “The Perfect Wedding” and today we not only bring you to Palawan but in that amazing place we are featuring our trophy couple. If a trophy wife is a status symbol for any man, the trophy couple is a status symbol for any wedding photographer. Extremely good-looking and even better human beings, Kim and Graeme allowed us to realise every frame of their photoshoot like it was taken from the very pages of Vogue magazine. The ease, the unmistakable allure and the sophistication are truly a sight to behold. We don’t take anything for granted that’s why we are truly grateful to be able to execute shoots like these. And today we share those with you. Enjoy.

Kristine and Gasper | A Slovenia Pre-Wedding Special

This year, I’m traveling to eight new countries. That’s is probably a record and a rarity considering that in recent years, we just tended to go back to the countries that are our favorites. Of those eight, I’ve only managed to share a complete post of our shoot in Morocco last March. And those who have seen that know how exotically amazing that was. This time we shift our focus to Slovenia for Kristine and Gasper’s wedding and pre-wedding shoots. When Kristine asked me if I can travel to Slovenia to shoot, I honestly had to use google to know where exactly it is. I’m not bad in geography, so for some place I had to google, I knew it will be an adventure enough for me to fly and work even if it falls on my birthday. Kristine is a Metrophotobride. Feisty, sophisticated, and doesn’t only have a knack for the unique but also makes it happen. So Slovenia, where Gasper is from, was the easy choice of location. The hard part was where in Slovenia. I was amazed with how developed Slovenia is and how it is also very preserved. Kristine had been all over Slovenia and she has listed the best and the most un-mainstream places for us to shoot – this means that Lake Bled and Ljubljana are not included. She saved the quaintest and prettiest town for their wedding and the rest we would tour and shoot at for their pre-wedding. The only condition was […]

Patricia and Mark

While we always try to choose the path less taken, there are still many many times that we are left with no choice but to confront the usual and the popular. The 5 fingers coves in Bataan is a popular place right now for couples shooting their pre-wedding. Why wouldn’t it be, the place is beautiful, relatively near, and unique. It boasts of rock formations that you only see in the landscapes of Iceland. We went there to shoot Patricia and Mark’s pre-wedding exactly for those reasons. I thought that we can still do something different even though there had been a lot of shoots shared from there already. But it was not as easy as we thought. We encountered a few delays and getting to the edges of the coves using small boats was also a challenge. While still at sea, I was intrigued when I saw what seemed to be docked ship about 2 miles out. The boatmen clearly said that it’s not possible to dock there when I asked about it. I had to see for myself because if we are able to shoot on it, that was that best way I can make-up for lost time. Call it skills, luck or ability, to cut the long story short, we were able board the dilapidating ship and shoot Patricia and Mark there. Having this amazing backdrop, we had to rely less on transferring from one place to another and just focus on creating beautiful shots on one […]

Jenna and Nealo | Villa Milagros Prenup

Villa Milagros is a gem of a place to shoot at. It’s not so far yet it provides the feel of not only being away from it all, but also being taken back in time. Did we say it’s a gorgeous place too? Speaking of gorgeous, please do check out the photos of Jenna and Nealo we shot here several months back. It’s still one of our favourites – Jenna is just beautiful and captivating and together with Nealo, they rocked every corner and every platform (including yes, the roof) of this mansion. Enjoy the photos.

Nicole and Kurt | A Japan Pre-Wedding Special

Metrophoto recognizes the value of being unique. That’s the reason we purposely almost never do the same location twice, especially in prenup shoots. If ever we have to, the next one should be obviously different than the first. But there is a location that we cannot help but shoot often. Be it because it’s just really a client favourite or maybe our own favourite, shooting in the Shibuya crossing has been an anomaly of sorts. We’ve shot here almost ten times and we’ve accepted that there will always be a next one. Late last year, we found ourselves in the world’s busiest crossing yet again – shooting and of course, well, crossing. This time it was Nicole and Kurt who we brought for some Shibuya magic. All of the shoots we had here are very different from one another, whether it’s from a different angle, time of day, poses, etc. nothing is ever close to the others. For today’s feature, we got a little help from above as it was pouring heavily while we had the shoot – something that brought a nice little mood to everything. I’m sure you’ll appreciate what we mean when you see the photos in this post. We, in the meantime, appreciate how Nicole and Kurt worked patiently with us not only in this wet Shibuya set but although out their Japan pre-wedding shoot – which, after a usual repeat of a location, the rest of the sets we got to shoot somewhere unique. Please, […]

Avi and Maynard | Nueva Ecija Pre-wedding Photographer

With a typhoon forecasted, we hoped and prayed for good weather while traveling to the Bali of the North. We were a little apprehensive but it turned out that everything went well as there was no rain during the shoot.  It was a little muddy but the couple took it all in stride and we can’t help but be infected by their ability to be game even when in an uncomfortable situation.  As a result, the shoots we took of them at the dam were according to our desire and expectation.  All in all, it was a great experience that left us with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. May you enjoy the peaceful and beautiful photos of this couple. ____________ Suppliers: Photo: Erron Ocampo Styling: Jeff Galang Make-up: Mariah Santos Hair: Arvin Santos

Cesca and Alex | Sundowners Zambales Pre-wedding Photographer

As we arrived at Sundowners Zambales, located in the municipality of Botolan, we were greeted by the bright sun, the salty sea, and the fresh breeze of the wind. Not only was I thankful that we were blessed with perfect weather that day, but I was also grateful for God’s creation that surrounded us. It was the perfect scenery that embodied Cesca and Alex’s personality as a couple. Cesca and Alex were easy to shoot with because they were so relaxed and candid. All their photos turned out natural and beautiful. Taking their photos was like capturing them in their element. I loved how every pose and every photo showed how deeply in love and sweet they were toward one another. There was no wall between them. Truly, they boldly showed their true selves. As you browse through their photos, I hope you see how real and authentic Cesca and Alex’s love is. Enjoy! ________________ Suppliers: Photo: Kiko Pascua Video: Lula Films Planning: Marge Montemayor

Vern Enciso and Ben Lim | A Metrophoto Special

Compared to the elaborate prenup shoots that we usually do, this one of Vern and Ben can be considered a ‘mini-prenup’ given the short time we had and the total simplicity of it. In all fairness, this effortlessness was by design as this is more of a warm-up to the intimate wedding (and a huge-r prenup shoot) than anything else. However, the ‘mini’ description stops there, as all else about this shoot and photos are larger than life – the experience, the emotions, and yes, especially Vern and Ben. These two are amazing; good-looking, very kind and absolutely trusting of us. For the many months leading to this day, we have asked them of their preferences a few times considering how well-versed Vern is in visual arts but all they said to us was to do it however we want to – what music to our ears (or apple to our eyes when we saw her message). As you will see in the behind-the-scenes video, this shoot was somewhat of a struggle. After scouting the place earlier in the day, we had a solid shoot plan that we had to throw all away when it began to rain just as we were about to start. As a photographer, it is a challenging position to be in, but thanks to some umbrellas and Vern and Ben, I feel that we were able to get something worthwhile. Please do enjoy the photos and the video (you will see how Vern climbed up […]
