The Wedding of Aileen and Kevin

In every wedding shoot, it is our oath in Metrophoto as photographers “to capture every moment that makes a moment THE moment…” if you get what I mean? It is our job to pause time with every click, as that part of life progresses. We shoot to tell a story but not only that, we shoot to tell the most beautiful version of that story.

Every wedding is an inspiration but there are always reasons to love them even more. I’m sure that most of you who are familiar with our work, are also familiar on who Aileen and Kevin are. You’ve seen them from our photos in Morocco – one of our most revered pre-wedding shoot yet. It was a fitting prelude to what was an even more amazing wedding.

Aside from this being one of the grandest we’ve shot, this is also the first wedding that we were able to show a behind-the-scenes video of the pre-wedding shoot during the reception itself. It was something that has never been done before and given how guests tend to already know what to expect in a wedding, this was such a delightful surprise. It gave the celebration a narrative that was a bit different and it took everyone with us back to Morocco, everyone we talked to loved it. It was an amazing feeling knowing that many amongst the crowd are previous or soon-to-be Metrophoto couples.

Aileen and Kevin also booked the San Sebastian church for two slots so we had the advantage to capture unhurried and joyous moments. The couple’s shots underneath the stained-glass windows were so intimate, unique, and dramatic. It honestly was like shooting inside a Medieval church in Europe.

I’ve truly had one of my most amazing experiences as a wedding photographer with Aileen and Kevin. They are extremely warm and nice people woven of untarnished and genuine happiness. And who knows that you can never compromise anything when it comes to the most important day of their lives. Enjoy the photos.
