The Wedding of Jeng and Ranz

Wedding of Jeng and Ranz

These ber-months would be the busiest of all wedding suppliers. For the past weeks-or months, I’ve done quite a handful already-more than a handful actually, but we are always as grateful to all the Metrophoto couples we work with. In today’s wedding feature, Jeng and Ranz inspired me how every shot I captured encompasses genuine love especially the love that was tested by time and distance.

It was my first time to do a photo shoot of wedding preparations at Novotel where the groomsmen rolled out their sharp suits in every scenic corner the hotel has to offer. I could not forget taking flat lays of the bride and groom’s chattels. Those shots can never be missed. Details create the big picture, and this wedding has a lot of stunning details I cannot surpass to shoot.

The wedding of Jeng and Ranz was a passionate and quite a weepie (in a good way!) wedding I covered. It took Ranz a lot of effort and persistence to court and pursue Jeng. She was “guarded” (pun intended!) by her brothers. But then again, the influence of the family plays a significant part of every couple especially because of our Filipino culture.

Jeng was like a gem, graced in her beautifully detailed wedding gown, as her steps drew closer to the altar made inevitable tears of profound happiness to Ranz. The exchange of heartwarming vows to each other left most guests teary-eyed. Ranz said to Jeng, “It has been a very long journey, but it’s okay, I could’ve waited for a lifetime. I commit to wait and obey your parents, because I knew in my heart and from the moment I saw you, you were truly worth the wait.”

I can’t help but to signify that time and distance are not vast words to the couple. Ranz worked as a seaman. For years of being in a long-distance relationship, like time, it changes and it almost breeds fear of what will become of their relationship. The number “16” must be a significant number to the couple. On September 16 this year, their 16-year long relationship was renewed in a blissful wedding. Love means sacrifice for the couple. It comes in many forms and what Ranz and Jeng had, it was worth the wait.

To Jeng and Ranz, thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your photographer on your wedding day, I wish you both a lasting love. Their love story was worth-telling, but what better way to tell you the story is through my photos below. Enjoy!
