When you’re shooting who they call as the King Tamaraw, it also calls for a king-sized epicness that only Arwind Santos and Ivette Gavieres can handle. And both are not new to such things if you can recall their awesome e-session photos that I posted a few weeks back.

Set one foggy afternoon in Tagaytay, the wedding of Arwind and Ivette was attended by their close friends and family AND by people so tall, they’re close to being giants. hahaha. I was delighted to see previous players that I’ve watched during my childhood days like Ato Agusting and Hector Calma – although not in basketball uniforms, to my disappointment. hahaha.

Arwind and Ivette have become good friends of Metrophoto and the level of trust that they gave us in deciding on what and where to shoot was really unbelievable. Troopers in the most definite way. We didn’t let the opportunity pass to shoot in the horse-back-riding station in Tagaytay amid all the mess, the mud, and the manure :) In exchange we were treated with the most extensive, most awesome smoke-machine effect that we can ever hope-for.

Enjoy the photos.

Ivette exuded the toughness of the Metrophoto brides. She traversed the gooey ground for the sake of awesome photos. See that third frame on the right? that’s her im-smiling-but-im-going-kill-you-oly-after-this look. She’s the perfect Metrophoto ambassador :)

My life and my work are inspired by people who work hard, people who compete, and people who win. And today’s feature shoot is nothing short of all of those traits. Nicknamed, Spiderman in the Philippine Basketball Association, Arwind Santos is set to marry his beautiful fiance, Ivette, very soon and here we’re showcasing their engagement session photos that we shot in the FEU gymnasium and campus.

A two-time UAAP MVP and led the FEU Tamaraws to three consecutive titles a few years back, he’s the only player ever to have his jersey retired from a school that has a rich history of winning UAAP titles. Of course a winner deserves a winner so we went out and provided a shoot that was a slam dunk from start to finish, and I must admit that good looks and effortless posing made it super easy :)

Enjoy the photos. And to those who frequent the site, you’ll see a different color tone with the photos this time. I thought of playing around with the green tones in honor of the FEU colors. Plus, it’s money :) hahaha.

Finally, now that the latest issue of Star Studio Magazine have hit the newstands, Metrophoto’s exclusive and official coverage of the wedding of John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles in Thunderbird Resort in Poro Point are now up in the blog for everyone to see.

Metrophoto’s team led by Oly Ruiz, together with Edlin Roquel and Peaches Calour, covered the much-awaited celebrity wedding that was not only star-studded (as expected) but lavishly fabulous as well. From the gowns and suits made by principal sponsor Randy Ortiz, up to the details, set-up, and coordination by Teena Baretto and her team, the event was a success in huge proportions.

And while other photos from the event have surfaced already, Metrophoto’s coverage of the wedding of John and Priscilla is the only source of the best and most creative moments.

Enjoy the photos :)

The much-awaited photos from the wedding of PBA star cager LA Tenorio and Chesca Bugia are finally here. =) It was one of the last weddings we had for 2010 and it was such grand and graceful way to end the year.

Chesca, who was spectacularly gorgeous during that evening, had wanted a Grecian theme for their wedding and these were evident in the colors, details, and the gowns of her entourage. It was played out beautifully throughout the wedding and even before that big day actually when we had the theme going-on during their lovely engagement session shoot. In more precise terms, Chesca wanted to fell of the movie 300, sans the nudity and barbarity of course. hahaha.

There were quite a few familiar and famous personalities that were present in the event. Since LA and Chesca were college sweetheart from Ateneo where LA played, much of his teammates during those years were there – Wesley Gonzales, Rich Alvarez, Chris Tiu, JC Intal, Larry Fonacier, Enrico Villanueva and Chesca’s borther Paolo Bugia. =) I felt like a smurf around them. hahaha. There were also a number of celebrities during the event – most notably Vhing Navarro and John Lloyd Cruz who were part of LA’s entourage. =) Scroll down to see more of this wonderful event PLUS commentaries and captioning by me =) hahaha!

Chesca’s gown was a masterpiece by Amir Sali. The attention needed for this cannot be described better by the fact that Amir booked only ONE wedding for the entire month of December to make sure that it is as perfect as it can be. With a price tag like this one, I’m sure i’ll be fine with just one project a month. =)

LA’s fine shoes are of the brand Tenorio. How often does one get to wear shoes after your own name right? Well, unless you surname is Choo or Louboutin or better yet Lopez (for Rusty) hahaha.

LA and his boys. The incomplete version – later JC Intal and John Lloyd Cruz will join them.

Isabel, Chesca’s sister, had a touching moment with Chesca just before they marched.

For their portrait shots, LA and Chesca specifically wanted night shots around the rockwell tent area. It was challenging but they were fab =)

The lovely reception set-up and sumptuous food was prepared by Kaye Cunanan who happens to be a very close friend of the couple.

Worked this wedding with Bong Sare of Threelogy and Chinky Uy-Agregado of Metro Evenscape.

Shooting weddings internationally? I call that awesome. Shooting weddings of celebrities? I call that spectacular. Now what about shooting the wedding of Jimmy Alapag and LJ Moreno in Laguna Beach in California? Awesome-tacular? You bet! =)

PBA all-star point guard Jimmy Alapag and actress LJ Moreno tied the knot at Surf and Sand Hotel in Laguna Beach south of Los Angeles. Families and friends (consist of cagers and celebrities) took part in the intimate but breathtaking ceremony that happened on top of the balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

A lot of beautiful people graced the event which already had such gorgeous couple and location and it’s just appropriate for me to churn out equally beautiful photographs. =) Enjoy LJ Moreno’s Wedding.

Don’t miss Jason Magbanua’s heart-melting SDE of the wedding here.

LJ had stylish purple shoes with “I” and “do” emblems glued at the soles. =)

Nothing beats the best weather in the best hotel and beach in the area.

LJ’s six-year old brother wrote the note below. It’s funny he seemed to know such things already. hahaha.

TFC correspondents were there to cover the wedding for The Buzz as requested by Boy Abunda. I saw myself in some of the clips in the show. Now I’m wishing I’ve nosed around more. hahaha.

Peachie is my new found friend. I know she’s Ruffa Mae for most people but like what I’ve said, we’re friends. So I call her Peachie. hahaha =)

My groom was strikingly handsome, he brought his A-game for the wedding of course – it’s like a Game 7 Finals day for him. =)

Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! =)

If we weren’t pressed for time, I wouldn’t have stopped shooting LJ. She’s beautiful in every angle.

LJ prepared for her vows. She told me Jimmy was really good with words and she wanted to make sure her vows will be as nice. Since at the photo below, Jimmy cried, I guess LJ nailed it! =)

Weeee!
