What better way to conclude the Metorphoto London Series but with Ed and Betty’s wonderful photos from around the city.

Unlike many other Metrophoto couples, Ed and Betty found me through google. They were both in Venice, Italy early this year and wanted some really nice engagement photos while they were there. Betty googled engagement and wedding photos from Venice and the Metrophoto site came up (no kidding! ;)). And just like her fabulously expensive Christian Louboutin shoes that she wore during the evening part of this shoot, she knew what she wanted in a heartbeat.

She emailed me, thinking (and hoping) I was actually based in Venice and of course that wasn’t the case. Though our schedules didn’t match, the great thing was that I would be in London soon, where they both live. And then just like that, everything was set :)

We started shooting at the York Park, then we went to the Victoria Train Station, and we finished off around the Big Ben and London Eye. It was an epic-in-the-making, and such an epic it was :) Seeing their photos make my heart stop :)

Indulge :)

After a brief break, we’re now bringing back the second half of the Metrophoto London series. After a brief break, we’re now bringing back the second half of the Metrophoto London series. And how else to reintroduce it but with really wonderful and lovely photos of Rob and Aiza from Cambridge (pronounced as keymbrij as how my English friends say hahaha). The marvelous grounds of the university were filled with things that will make you feel like you’re in different time.

Of course, it was Rob and Aiza who adopted me and Nina while we were in London and I must say that there couldn’t have been a better place for us to stay. I so miss their pretty and super clean house, and the barbecue dinners, and their library of DVDs, Aiza’s delicious desserts. So looking forward to invade them again next time I’m in London. :)

Enjoy the photos both in Cambridge and around the Cathedral of St. Paul (pronounced as St. Po). :)

Completing the first-half of the Metrophoto London Series is the e-session of Ian and Mona. :) St. James Park, The Buckingham Palace, and The London Eye are the places we went to for the shoot and like almost everything in London, they were awesome :)

It took us up to the wee hours of the evening to complete the shoot but the london was just magnificent late at night. :) We had loads of fun and I’m looking forward to Ian and Mona’s Trash the Dress session late this year :)

The next half of the London series and then some other nice stuff are up next on the Metrophoto blog :)

Because I believe that my blog visitors deserve fresh AND quality content every time they drop by and because we want to showcase the range and consistency of our shoots, we’re swiftly continuing with the Metrophoto London Series. Next stop is the London Tower and Piccadilly Circus, where we shot Vince and Mich’s E-session.

There are a lot of pretty little things and great moments in this shoot but two that I remember the most was that since Vince and Mich are from Ireland and flew all the way to London to have their E-session (skipping work, which was very difficult to do), we barely had three hours to shoot this entire thing and I really admire how they put on their A games and nailed every concept we tried – even having to order and eat dinner within 20minutes! :)

And when I say A-game, this includes, which is also the second most unforgettable moment, the time when I asked Mich to go inside a phone booth by herself and then had her stay there for a good 8-10 minutes while I shoot her and vince in separate booths, only for me to find out that she held her breathe the entire time because there was a thick rotten stench of puke inside the booth. It was soooo horrible that the smell of puke can actually make you puke! hahaha. I felt really bad for her :( And that deserve more than the praise in this write-up, it deserves great photos and the highest of high fives! Yeaaah! That my friend, is the Metrophoto Bride :) No, not one that likes the intensely bad smell of vomit but one that know what she wants and will make sure she gets it (add to that of course her superhuman ability to hold her breath for hours! hahaha).

Enjoy the photos and come back for more of the Metrophoto London Series :)

While it has been a couple of months since I’ve been to London to shoot a series of wonderful engagement sessions and conduct a hothouse workshop, I just found a fitting opportunity to introduce the Metrophoto London Series in the blog.

The initial feature is Romeo and Jen’s engagement session in Camden Lock Market and in the London Eye and the Big Ben. Now for all of you who watched E-news recently and is a fan of the late Amy Winehouse, you would recognize that she was found lifeless in her home right here in the very place we had this shoot, in Camden. Of course she was alive and well when we shot this and we even discussed how amazing it was that we were in a place where the likes of her actually call their home.

Now as one amazing life ends, another awesome thing begins, and that is the Metrophoto London Series. Look for that union jack-inspired M logo to signify all parts of the series.

Enjoy and make sure to come back for more :)
