There are a lot of great experiences and stories in every wedding that we get to be a part of, and in the case of the wedding og Pam and Migs, it is about them being previous officemates of mine. For the readers who are not aware, I am an engineer by profession and has worked for Intel (the largest semiconductor company) in my first few years after college. It was where a lot of my understanding about branding and the culture of excellence were honed and that’s also where I met Pam and Migs. They weren’t a couple yet during those times (yes, it was that long ago) and I was delightful to see how they would get together and take the next big step by getting married. There were countless stories and people to talk about each time we got together and it was always fun to talk about the good old days.

You probably remember Caleen and Pat best from their foxy e-session shoot at the La Mesa watershed where their love for bikes was the theme throughout. Now that we’re featuring their wedding, that love for biking was still present during their special day – no, they didn’t bring the bikes on the wedding day, that would be complicated – as evident in their super cool wedding logo.

What I remember most about Caleen and Pat is how much I see a lot of myself in Caleen – which is both good and bad. hahaha. Caleen, has this fiercely uncompromising trait that makes her do the best she can for something that she wants to happen or achieve. Let’s just say that she is a perfectionist and would not settle for anything less. And if this means she has to invest time, money and even life to something, then so be it. Like I said, this is both good and bad. It is good because I know that they wouldn’t want anything less for their wedding and ergo their wedding photos. And that’s the bad part as well – Caleen is also not an easy customer to please, which I know because I am very much like that. In fact if one doesn’t know better, she can be pretty intimidating. Did I mention that she’s a lawyer too? But I used that familiarity to understand her and Pat and what they wanted. Of course, like everything in our weddings, it was a happy ever after for all three of us :) – or at least up to this day.

What’s very interesting about all these resemblance I am talking about Caleen and me is that fact that I totally dig her for loving and marrying Pat. The guy is awesome and absolutely nice – a definite keeper. So yeah, too bad Caleen has her already. hahaha. #bromance.

We do recognize that we’re behind in blogging, in fact being behind several months is being ‘very behind’. We actually have the option of just resetting and start posting with our current weddings but I feel that it just seems like we are doing a disservice and totally looking past to the many wonderful weddings we had recently. Thus we’re taking the road less travelled, enjoying to relive these weddings by posting as much of them as possible – tougher but definitely fulfilling.

What better way to continue doing this than by featuring the wedding of a couple very dear to me. I have grown to have a great deal fondness and attachment to Tiff and Johnson from the very first time we met from almost two years back. They are super nice, easy to deal with, and funny. Of course every time there is an opportunity to travel and shoot and be together for a longer period of time, these admirable traits amplify themselves and you get to appreciate them more and build a stronger, more unforgettable bond. Our time in Shanghai last year to shoot their prewedding photos was really amazing and I invite you to check more on those by reading my posts on them here and here. So you can just imagine how pleasant and exciting it was for us to be there and shoot on their wedding day. #blissful if you’re going to put a hastag to it. hahaha!

If you’ve checked our previous post on the second installment of the Metrophoto Bride campaign, you already got a glimpse of what’s in store from today’s post. The second poster featured Charm with his now husband Nikko. In the poster we described how enchanting Charm’s beauty is, that it sort of mesmerizes if not spellbinds you. Honesly I’ve never known anyone who had a name so fitting to oneself – well I think there was frank, who acts like a.. you know, but other than that, Charm takes the cake. This time, we’re sharing the photos from their wedding. It had since already been months but seeing the photos again just brings back that mystifying charm that Charm has (got it?). What’s really amazing is that despite that feel of mystique you see, Charm is super sweet and nice – both her and Nikko. I can’t be flattered enough with how happy they were and how grateful they were with all the experiences we had shooting the e-session and the wedding. It is these that really stood out and made her one of my more unforgettable and favorite brides.

I’m excited to share the wonderful wedding of Amanda and Chris Schoof. Held inside Chris’ family estate in the town of Baclayon in Bohol, both the ceremony – held at the backyard of the mansion, and the reception – took place at the Peacock Garden Resort, were breathtaking. Technically, this is a destination wedding for Metrophoto but since Amanda and Chris reside in this beautiful province, it’s not much so.

For those of you who visit this site frequently, I’m sure you’ve chanced upon my previous post of Amanda and Chris’s e-session shoot that we shot in same place. The wedding was nothing short of what anyone would wish for, extraordinarily beautiful. The details, the colors, the locations, the people – everything felt like being in a movie, a great feel-good movie. The color schemes and landscape makes you feel that you are in Tuscany then there is that Filipino rustic appeal of the vintage wooden chairs used during the ceremony, it was definitely one-of-a-kind. In fact, a big fountain was actually demolished in order to pave the aisle that Amanda will walk on. Nothing was really ‘untouchable’ in order to make the dream wedding a reality. And I love it!

So please allow us to share with you the photos from this wedding of Amanda and Chris, a testament to an undying love that unconditionally overcame any challenges that stood its way. Truly a wedding unlike any other.
