It was exactly 1pm in Tagaytay. The sun was scorching and we're on a standstill for quite a while already in Amadeo road. There was a marathon happening in the main highway at that moment and all traffic were diverted to this narrow alternate route.

I was inside Mervin Gobaco's vehicle, all cramped with 6 other people including Bea, one of my shooters. For a lack of better things to do, I got my phone and tweeted this exact phrase "stuck in a gridlock in tagaytay including bridal car. Ceremony at 1pm in lourdes. =("

So yes, the bridal car was behind us among with the other cars of the suppliers, we were late for the ceremony and there was nothing we can do. Well, I thought there was nothing we can do but Darlene had other plans. After getting a call from her coordinator that she will have to skip the bridal march if she arrive more than 30mins late, my awesome bride, stepped out of her car, and ran, oh yes she RAN carrying and dragging her fabulous Veluz gown with her! She passed by our car and we all looked at each other in disbelief. And after a few seconds of trying to make sense of what we saw, we were already running with Darlene - the whole mile stretch of the road where all the vehicles were stuck.

It was like a scene from a movie, only this one is real. hahaha. after about 15 mins of running, we came at the intersection where everything was clogged-up and asked, actually forced, a tricycle to take all of us (all seven of us) to the church which was another mile away.

At exactly 1:30pm we arrived at Lourdes Church in Tagaytay, where Gboy was waiting. We're all burned and beat-up but in such high spirits. We all couldn't believe what just happened.

Darlene went on to have her bridal march - one of the most awesome I ever experienced as it seemed that she started her march when she decided to run - and everything else was perfect. =)

This is a blog post you shouldn't miss to see =)

And there goes my Bride =)

From a vintage Mustang to a yamaha! weehoo! =)

Sorry Manong, I didn't consider you as part of my budget. hahaha =)

Eddie Bruan was with us all the way, and was sitting at the back of the Tricycle beside me. He did an awesome job and looked 20 years younger as he seemed to ran faster than me. hahaha.

hothouse_banner_sf_2.jpg

Last Monday, Hothouse San Francisco finally got underway. It was overwhelming to be given the opportunity to be able to share through a workshop, the techniques and knowledge that made Metrophoto an instant brand success in such a big market. It's being Charice Pempengco but in such a tinier more insignificant way. hahaha! =)

The workshop was held inside the fabulous Whitcomb Hotel in San Francisco where we were treated with a hospitality that was too awesome, I already had to resist. hahaha. Thanks to Joanne Tan who made sure that everything we needed was taken cared of (overflowingly). She's such a sweetheart and I can't thank her enough.

Super thanks also of course to the awesome-twosome wedding photography team of Alfred Salom Photography - both Emma and Alfred were the key people who made Hothouse a stateside success! =) hahaha.

Lastly to my man (well, not in a homosexual kind of way) Noel Dasmarinas of Our Digital Studio. He had my back all throughout the trip and made sure that not only will all of my shoots and and my workshop be winners, he also made sure I do a lot of shopping. hahaha =)

Make sure to check out their works as you'll miss out on the next big things ;)

The fabulous and historic Whitcomb Hotel. Wanna look inside? see how sexy our suite is ;) Woot! Metrophoto Brand Collaterals - we came locked and loaded! hahaha =) Had a great time sharing to all the participants... they are so fun... ... so fun that they actually seemed to be having too much fun while I was talking. hahaha =) First shoot! =) Someone's having a great time! hahaha =) Our beautiful and soon-to-be unreachable model and executive Joanne! =) Joanne, now plus her handsome all-for-it boyfriend David! red shoes: "thanks for giving me my solo shot" hahaha. Hey Dustin! =) She's happy it's over. No more fake lashes. hahaha =) Thanks for the awesome time everyone! Go rock the Bay Area with your new and shiny metrophoto folders... i mean skills! hahaha =)

It's one thing to have an awesome set of photos from an e-session in such a great city like Chicago. It's another to do it on back-to-back shoot in consecutive days. It's like repeating as NBA champions. hahaha. Well one will surely feel like back-to-back champions especially when he is gifted with fabulous couples to shoot.

If you liked Mike and Donna's e-session in Chicago then you'd enjoy this next one of Shawn and Pam's. It has the same Metrophoto and Chicago feel but different in so many ways =) Shawn and Pam planned to shoot with the Buckingham Fountain but we got disappointed when we found out that it was closed for maintenance (yeah, after walking three blocks in super-cold weather). Then I thought it would be more awesome to just shoot ON and INSIDE the fountain itself since it's not working anyway. Thus with a little trespassing, we were able to do what no one else has done before - a photoshoot inside the famous Buckingham fountain. Oh I didn't need a ladder for this shoot as Shawn is a stuntman and made climbing the structure seem super easy. =)

After such a great start, we headed-off to the old Chicago Theater, then a few shots in the elevated train tracks and finished in Chinatown. =)

So as the Lakers try to win their back-to-back titles as I type, go ahead and enjoy Metrophoto's own back-to-back winners ;)

This is a long-awaited post for me. I had such an unforgettably awesome time in Chicago this year and I can't wait to share with everyone all the wonderful photos we have of this city and our equally hot couples.

Today I'm sharing the photos of Michael and Donna's e-session that we shot in various locations including the playground in their backyard. hahaha. It was a nice place to warm-up for the shoot as after that we headed to their favorite spot in downtown Chicago, which is the sleek new Asian restaurant Sunda. They served delicious modern versions of our Asian favorites including our very own adobo and avocado puree for dessert. I guess it good to know also that their head chef is a FIlipino =) We enjoyed the sumptuous lunch where I found out that me and Mike had A LOT in common. From being both left-handed, being afraid of the water, both love papaya - I actually wanted to stop there before it got any weirder. hahaha =)

We then headed-off to Millennium Park where the famous The Bean is situated and all the nice posh shops of Chicago where we finished off the splendid day =)

Enjoy the photos and thanks again to Mike (who is the best model that I've shot so far) and Donna, you guys rock =)

When we were kids, we've dreamt of being able to fly one way or another. Only to realize soon after that airports and airplanes are the one of the closest things we can come to realize that dream.

We've set out to provide that carefree feeling in this e-session with Chok and Joe given the awesome location we have. We had a tremendously great time working with the airport crowd, security, and fixtures that I thought we can stay there forever. =)

Later today Chok and Joe officially tie the knot, and while they do, enjoy the photos =)
