Q. Are all M issues free?

A. Come one, come all! M issues are available for free download.

Q.  I can’t open an app or issue I downloaded onto my iPad or iPhone; the app freezes or crashes.

A. 1. The first step to solve this common problem is close open apps running in the background.
2. Double click the Home button on the device.
3. Open apps will be displayed in the tray along the bottom of the screen.
4. Touch and hold one of the app icons until it wiggles.
5. Tap the minus sign in the red circle at the top left corner of the app icon to close. Do this for all apps.
6. Return to the Home screen and tap to launch the app, or return to Newsstand and tap on the issue.

Q. My issue takes a very long time to download or doesn’t completely download.

A. If your Wi-Fi connection is weak or inconsistent, or your iPad does not have enough memory available, you will encounter problems downloading an issue. Depending on signal strength, an app should take no longer than 15 minutes to download. Issues will not download over a 3G connection.

If your Wi-Fi connection is weak or inconsistent, it may take longer for issues to download or they won’t download completely. Apple recommends that iPad users not attempt to download more than one app at a time. Verify that you do not have other downloads in progress on your device. If you have several devices utilizing your Wi-Fi connection, you can improve signal strength by temporarily disabling the other devices until the app downloads completely on your iPad. Another way to improve reception is to position your iPad as closely as possible to the router.

Timing out for any reason might require you to start the download over again. We recommend disabling your iPad’s Auto-Lock setting while downloading an issue to prevent the iPad from going into Sleep mode.
