It’s not unusual for clients to tell me they want something different. Metrophoto, after all, is who you go to if you want something distinct and worth your time and hard-earned money.

Almost always, clients ask us for unique ideas, and we come up with concepts we have thought through to be possible to execute. But with the case of Kim and Bjorn, they are the ones who came up with the ambitious idea, something we were challenged to do, so we had to figure out how to execute it.

Having traveled the world, Kim is a massive fan of the Creole culture and showed us Beyonce’s Formation MTV as her inspiration for her prenup shoot. You can view it here, but I instantly knew we had to do it – the jazz band, the empty swimming pool, the old French interiors, and yes, even the sunken car! We have done so many crazy things before, and we knew that while this is going to be a bit of a stretch, we’d be able to do it.

We prepared a short reel for some behind-the-scenes clips, but I hope that the photos themselves speak of the magnitude of being able to do something like this for a pre-wedding shoot, and we have Kim and Bjorn to thank for all of that.
