We’ve welcomed and embraced same sex marriages even before we had our very first opportunity to cover one, several years back. That moment led to more opportunities to meet and take part in unions of the same gender. And the more we know and capture their love, the more we understand and appreciate what they have. Photographing the wedding of Nora and Julie is yet another perspective in seeing the beauty in all of it.
Nora is American and Lian is Filipino. If gender is not an issue, how much more can nationality be. They met in China several years back, endured a long-distance relations for a time and are now both settled in New York. Settled is an understatement – they live a flourishing life in the city that never sleeps. Nora is the CEO and founder of a couple of very successful companies – Adopted and Caeden. These are high-end companies that offers top-of-the line accessories for mobile phones. They have exclusive lines sold at Barney’s and their products are impeccably made – it was engrossing with how beautiful they were. I was inspired with their love and I was also inspired with what they have created and achieved. I have nothing but appreciation to people who not only overcome bias, but also unforgivingly live their dreams. Enjoy the photos.
