A couple of weeks back, we featured a stunning pre-wedding shoot from Himeji that kicked-off our Japan pre-wedding series. Today, we continue our affair with this amazing country with Jackie and Jim’s set.
We bring you to Lake Kawaguchi and then back to the heart of Japan in Yokohama and in Tokyo for the sites of Jackie and Jim’s shoot. It was still early spring and the stunning blooms of the cherry blossoms create an interesting contrast to the sparkle of late-night metropolis. And in-between them, the magnificent Mt. Fuji stood tall and established this one as amongst the best we’ve had.
Given the challenges of the very cold temperature, distance, uncontrollable crowds, prohibitions and just plain ambition, I couldn’t be happier with what we were able to come-up with. I love Jackie, she is a trooper and the prettiest one at that, she sat (actually laid down) side by side the great Japanese mountain like it was 25C when it was actually 20C lower than that. She and Jim make such a formidable couple. Thanks to Colby for having a frame that will rival Hagrid – he made those shots at shibuya like it was Harry Potter on a broomstick shooting it. And to Chika, our precious little Japanese gem, for giving us that extra edge and for making our every Japan trip more worthwhile.
What we decided to shoot – cherry blossoms, Mt. Fuji, and the Shibuya Crossing, were all expected. But we are proud to say that it is the things that we did there that were nothing short of the unexpected. Please, enjoy :)
