Whenever we go to destinations for shoots, what we always try to achieve is to shoot whatever that place is famous for. For me that’s just the point of travelling to a certain place, to experience what it’s all about. Thus when Alex and Tin had this great idea to shoot in Bahay Celina in Liliw Laguna, I immeditately thought of extending the shoot on the many brooks that surround the town. I felt that the nice quaint houses and the charming balinese-inspired details of Bahay Celina would nicely complement some shots by the streams.
On our way to the location, I noticed several horses on the road – mostly used to transport small-sized cargo around. We thought it would be awesome to get one of those horses down the brook side and use it in our shoot. We got lucky of course because after asking several people, one lent us his nicely-colored stud. And after a nerve-wracking experience with a very unpredictable and unruly tiger, having a such a pliant animal to shoot was most welcome. Props to Tin and Alex for making an epic shoot out of Liliw, Laguna.
