Today, my baby girl turns seven years old. Those seven years were a significant time in my life because Lana was born almost at the same time as Metrophoto’s inception. How she grew being everything that we wanted for our daughter to be is almost the same way Metrophoto developed to how we envisioned it to be seven years agoe – both even exceeding our hopes. There isn’t a luckier charm and an even better blessing than having to experience all of these with the unrelenting love and support our family.

Lana got her dad’s drive and determination. The idea of having her special birthday photoshoot underwater was perfect – not only will it be unique but it’s something that is extremely difficult to do. Lana’s courage made it all possible as I myself wasn’t even sure she can do it even after several months of discussing it with her.

We didn’t want to waste such an opportunity so we made sure we didn’t do a typical underwater shoot. Lana was willing to do it while wearing a gown so we had Joe San Antonio make her a beautiful and elaborate dress that looked magical underwater. Of course we threw in a carousel horse in there as well to complete such a paradisiacal look.

We would also like to take this chance to thank all our friends from the industry who helped us make Lana’s 7th birthday celebration all she ever dreamed of. Teena Barretto, Ernest Pascual and Jody Liwanag- all my kumares for the set-up, details, and in putting it all together. Thanks to Joe San Antonio for both of Lana’s stunning gowns. Everyone loved them and can’t stop complimenting them even after the event. Happy birthday to my baby girl! Me, mom, and Lance are deeply grateful and humbled that we are blessed to spend everyday of our lives together.
