I believe that it was serendipity that brought me face to face with Ivo during the tinghun of Evange and Lloyd last October 5, 2018. It had been many years since we saw each other.  I remembered her as a quiet girl back in college where we both belonged to the same political organization.

In that meeting, Ivo expressed her desire to make me her photographer for her wedding.  So when Winghem proposed to her, she immediately called me.

Ivo, like any bride, wanted her wedding to be dreamfully perfect.  So she and Winghem made sure that every detail of their preparation was according to their plans –  from the most elegant wedding dress to the plate set they wanted to use for the reception. Ivo and Winghem made sure that their guests were comfortable and that night would be memorable, not only for them but also for everyone present. Every detail was carefully planned out, checked, and re-checked.

Comparing how carefully Ivo and Winghom’s wedding was planned out to what is happening to the world today, we can see that it’s easier to prepare for a wedding rather than for a pandemic because nobody really wants for something like this to happen. But this crisis actually gives us the opportunity to show how resilient and adaptable we human beings are.
