This pandemic has been a loss to most of us. Be it work, interaction, freedom, or opportunities, it has affected us negatively. But life has always been all about ‘give and take.’ You lose some, and then you win some. Early this year, Aika and Warren wanted to book me for their wedding, but I was no longer available. It was regrettable because I know Aika- I met her when I shot the wedding of her sister, Deniece, a few years back. They are one of those families that are so kind and cool that you pray they like you, so you get to shoot them again.

Then, the world turned upside down and put everything up in the air. When the dust was sort of settling last September, Aika and Warren decided that they’ll push through with their wedding and thought to ask me again.

Here I’m now sharing not only that fascinating story of loss and recovery but also the photographs from the beautiful wedding of Aika and Warren that I had the privilege to shoot.

The universe will always have its way of balancing everything. What could have been a canceled wedding for Aika and Warren turned out to be a heartwarming celebration of love and determination. Enjoy.
