A Conrad Manila Hotel Intimate Wedding | Joy and Ian

The pandemic has had all of us second-guessing so many things but in the same breathe, it also had taught us to be deliberate, to do things with intent and without the urge to look-back. Loved ones leave us, business opportunities disappear, we get old, and the world will continue to fuck us, so we learn to, well, fuck back by seizing the moments with no hesitation – and not just any moment, we seize THE moments.

‘THE moments’ for Metrophoto are our shoots with our clients. We have been quite good at making the most out of those opportunities before, but none so more than now. We realize that concepts should not sit on a list waiting for the right time or the right people;  we need to look them in the eye and tick them off as much as we could; In weddings, this means that we go to an event with a customized shoot plan in mind. With all the protocols and restrictions in place right now, it leaves less time for ‘winging’ things. The shoot plan keeps us safe and guided, makes us efficient, and opens up opportunities. It may not be too evident in the photos we feature today, but things could be worse and difficult (photos uglier) if we didn’t embrace being more decisive.

Thus, we welcome you to see the photos from the wedding of Joy and Ian. They’re still the same photos you’ll expect from Metrophoto; what’s not apparent is that these were made with even less time and even more caution – a more seizing-the-moment-with-a-purpose attitude that we all learned from the many second-guessing that Covid-19 brought us. Enjoy.
