A Subic Pre-wedding Photographer | Emily and Jonas

One aspect of our craft that the Metrophoto team takes to heart is the ability to execute on dramatically complex photoshoots which highlight exactly what our clients expect from us. This was definitely no exception for Emily and Jonas’ prenup shoot.

I remember seeing a photo shoot of Jose Villa that was shot in France with wild white horses on the beach. That setting abroad with the couple exuded something so enchanting that you’d think they were in a different realm altogether. Going to Europe to shoot something similar is out of the question these days, so I improvised to use Jose Villa’s as an inspiration for a shoot here instead.

It was not an easy task but I always love the challenge. I put together the ideas in my mind on how to execute our version of this dream shoot, and little by little, the concept came to life.

Set in the breathtaking wetlands of Subic, Emily and Jonas’ shoot exuded a quiet grace and elegance that only deepened when their portraits were taken alongside the reserved majesty that these beautiful horses carried themselves in stride with. It has a magical feel, but not something of France but more of Spain or even Mongolia. A little grit, some mood, and a whole lot of luck. The images are something to behold, especially knowing how unusually hard it was to put together.

Much appreciation goes to Emily and Jonas. Capturing these two in such a warm and wild element rendered these fantastic shots that are not only whimsical but also shots that I thought I’d only be left to dream of shooting.
