Since easily shooting abroad has been put on hold for the time being, I enjoy the occasional challenge of trying to transport my clients to beautiful faraway places that are seemingly outside of the Philippines, and Christel and Vonn’s prenup was a perfect bit of this.

Due to incompatible schedules, I was unable to meet Christel and Vonn for the initial meeting on the direction of their prenup shoot; fortunately, Metrophoto’s trusted Creative Director, Mike, stepped in and together with the excited couple, came up with a concept that matched the exuberant flair of the beautiful Christel and the dashing Vonn. When Mike presented to me what they have put together, and I knew I had something good, but little did I know that this one will be one for the books. 

Prior to the shoot, I was informed that the location would be set in Highland Bali, and since I was able to shoot there before, I already expected this prenup to run smoothly with some beautiful shots. But I was definitely in for a surprise; upon arriving on set, it was clear (aside from the unbearable heat – see the BTS video), that we were going above and beyond for Christel and Vonn’s prenup shoot, with the alluring couple impeccably dressed and camera-ready. And on top of that, the couple had some sheep transported to the set, giving the whole shoot an endearingly sophisticated Scottish valley vibe (queue Celtic music).

To say that Christel is ‘beautiful’ is most definitely an understatement – she delivered the perfect mix of drama and character as she posed for the camera, definitely elevating each shot took; it was truly a pleasure shooting her while she so gamely followed my directions to further heighten the finesse of each shot. And the charming Vonn definitely pulled his weight in this shoot, posing with a natural elegance (and always with a so much smile!) next to his glowing bride-to-be.

This shoot definitely transported both myself and the couple into a distant land (heaven even) that we’d all usually have to fly to in order to capture such dramatic shots. I am over the moon that we were able to execute these kinds of shots here in the Philippines, with all of its elements blending seamlessly together. I hope you enjoy viewing the photos as much as I enjoyed capturing the classy and polished Christel and Vonn.
