There is something about this shoot that makes it such a favorite. Perhaps it’s the mundane yet captivating nature of the shots, or maybe how easily we were able to execute all of them, but truthfully, it’s because of Jackie and Kerk. These two gave every frame that I envisioned a character that is truly them – wreaking of beauty and yet immensely simplistic by design.
I remember meeting Jackie for the first time when she dropped by the pre-wedding shoot of her sister, Gaile, a little over a year before. That shoot of Gaile was iconic and intense. Thus it was so fitting that Jackie had hers in the same impactful fashion but with a twist of her own. Similar but unique – very much in a true #metrophotobride fashion.
Please take my word for it while, at the same time going through all these beautiful photos for good measure. I won’t say it’s a favorite for nothing. Enjoy.
