April and Aj | Sta. Maria Goretti Parish Wedding Photographer

As I see the pandemic getting worse, and with no end in sight, I have more respect for our doctors. They work day and night to serve our country,  putting their lives at risk to help their fellow Filipinos. These frontliners remind me of April and Aj, both ophthalmologists, whose wedding I had the privilege of shooting last December. The most unique thing about this couple was their choice of the Church where their wedding was to be held. Most couples usually pick the church closest to their reception venue to make it convenient both for themselves and their guests. But April and Aj chose Sta. Maria Goretti Parish, quite a distance from their reception venue, because it held a special significance to them. This is where they attend mass every Sunday and where they strengthened, not only their relationship with each other but with the Lord. Be encouraged as you look at the wedding pictures of these two doctors. May you find hope in their love story amidst these trying times. ________________ Suppliers: Photo: Paolo Nierves Video: Forevermine Wedding Films Make-up: Anthea Bueno Gown: Hannah Kong Styling: Teddy Manuel Host: JC Alelis [shareprints gallery_id=”80948″ gallery_type=”masonry” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”medium” image_padding=”5″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”zoomin” lightbox_type=”slide” comments=”true” sharing=”true”]

Barby and Francis | Intramuros and The Heirloom Manila Pre-Wedding Photographer

Making a shoot different from the run of the mill while keeping its beauty intact is always something we take pride here in Metrophoto. When Barby and Francis told me that they wanted their shoot in Intramuros, I knew instantly that this will be a challenge that we were willing to take on gladly. What amazed me about this couple is how hands-on they were. Because they had set their hearts on a theme surrounded by our country’s history, they knew exactly what style of clothes they would be using.  After shooting in the once fortified city of Intramuros, what better way to end this classic and vintage pre-wedding but to shoot in Heirloom Manila? Just like Intramuros and Heirloom Manila, where history was made, Barby and Francis will create a history of their own as they start their life as husband and wife. ______ Suppliers: Photo: Paolo Nierves [shareprints gallery_id=”74621″ gallery_type=”masonry” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”medium” image_padding=”5″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”zoomin” lightbox_type=”slide” comments=”true” sharing=”true”]

Glaiza and Heinrich | A Manila Wedding Photographer

Last year proved to be an insanely difficult time to shoot destination prenups and weddings as both local and international locations were affected by the closing of borders and other health restrictions. Glaiza and Heinrich’s prenup shoot and wedding, was not spared from these predicaments; what was supposed to be a prenup shoot in Japan ended up getting canceled, while their original plans of a grand wedding turned into a small and intimate celebration with a guest list of fewer than 20 folks. But downsizing their wedding did not make their union any less special. The circumstances Glaiza and Heinrich found themselves in created space for the couple to be more intentional with what they actually wanted for their special day versus catering to the whims of their would-be guests. They chose to look at the bright side of things: that they were healthy, they didn’t want to wait for a “better” time to get married, and that they wanted to begin their lives together as husband and wife straightaway. The time and effort they put into overcoming all the hurdles leading up to their wedding day proved to be worth it, as Glaiza and Heinrich found themselves having an intimate wedding that surpassed their expectations of the bigger one that they had been planning and dreaming of. Due to the social distancing restrictions, I had the honor of being the only photographer present to shoot the intimate church ceremony and it was amazing to witness the warmth and love […]

Lors and Eugene | Manila Wedding Photographer

I have always believed that weddings and love stories carry their own sense of uniqueness, but there are stories that are textbook-perfect because of how flawless and serene the process has been. For Lors and Eugene, it can’t be more awe-inspiring. A pre-wedding shoot in Switzerland (https://www.mymetrophoto.com/portfolio/lors-and-eugene-zermatt-pre-wedding/, https://www.mymetrophoto.com/2023/01/zurich-pre-wedding-of-lors-and-eugene/), a wedding attended by a thousand guests, a distinctly elegant wedding gown, as well as intimate and heartwarming moments captured in every photo. I can say that the entire endeavor was a chef’s kiss because there’s nothing that can be faulted. But life can be too playful at times that it throws something unexpected. You either rise up or back down – but not for these two. Love is a miracle on its own – a statement that both Lors and Eugene can affirm through their own love story that has been challenged by life in the first few chapters of their love story. But as they tread the waters of what life throws at them, they come out victorious, with their very own miracle on the first anniversary of their version of forever. What a fitting moment to share their wedding on the first year of their unwavering romance.  Still magical.. still perfect.. still immensely in love. The Wedding of Bernice and Oneal

A couple that has full trust in our company will always be close to our hearts. Bernice and Oneal gave their full trust to us from their pre nuptial shoot, that was shot by Oly, to their big day that I was privileged to have captured. Immediately right after our first meeting, we felt comfortable knowing we had a few common friends and that we are of the same age (early 20s???). In spite of a big wedding like theirs, they handled it with ease. Their pleasing personalities made our jobs way easier and as for them, they breezed through their big day. Now, allow us to share with you a wedding that was awe-inspiring for all of us. Mona and Jenz | Kalanggaman Leyte Pre-wedding Photographer

There’s a saying very familiar to all of us and it goes like this, “There are many fish in the sea.” But in a sea full of possibilities, the waves of fate has brought Mona and Jenz together. Once I stepped off Mactan airport, I knew that this was going to be a long, exhausting yet fun experience – something I always look forward to when shooting for our clients. The plan was to shoot in a yacht in Cebu then go directly to Kalanggaman Island in Leyte. We literally did our shoot while traveling by sea. And you may be wondering where we slept that night when it was impossible to do a day trip from Cebu to Leyte. We slept in the yacht and it was really comfortable. When we woke up the next day to prepare for the shoot, we were greeted by gray skies so we didn’t have the best weather to have a beach shoot because of the rain. But despite the dark clouds and the strong waves of the sea, we pushed through with it, taking the challenge of going against the harshness of Mother Nature. This was indeed an adventurous and memorable experience. Besides shooting in the middle of the sea and traveling from Cebu to Leyte, it was a wonderful chance to bond not only with Mona and Jenz, but also with Albert of Project Mayo 7, with the help of a few bottles of wine of course. Enjoy! _______________ Suppliers: Photo: […]

Ena and Jester | A Manila Wedding Photographer

What started as an “unintentional” Facebook friend request back in 2009 has led to a beautiful celebration of love and marriage more than a decade later. Not every one that sends a friend request to their Facebook crush ends up marrying them. But lady luck was on Jester’s side – he was able to land and marry Ena, the woman of his dreams. Throughout their years of dating, this fun couple has maintained that youthful honeymoon glow in their relationship, and it clearly shows in the way they held one another on their wedding day. Days leading up to the wedding, I could feel the couple’s excitement of intertwining their lives together in this lifetime — it was a joy to witness their moments of hopefulness for the future, especially in the current state the world is in. It was such a breeze to shoot Ena and Jester’s wedding – the fun they had with everyone around them, and most especially with one another, translated very well into these photos. From being just Facebook friends in 2009, to then warehouse workmates (see feature here) in 2017, to now husband and wife in 2020, Ena and Jester’s wedding was a beautiful culmination of all the anticipation they both felt for their future together, and they’re off to an exciting start as they take on new heights as man and wife. A Cagayan De Oro Wedding | Charisse and Roald

As I stepped off the plane, I thought to myself “Ahhh It’s good to be back”. Last 2015 was my first time in CDO and I instantaneously fell in love with the place. With this, I was just so glad to be back. Charming, beautiful and photogenic – these are the words to describe Charisse and Roald. Their wedding day was the first time that I met them, no prenup, no meeting, no nada and yet shooting them was such a breeze! They were easy to work with and easy to shoot. There was something magnetic and captivating about these two, very calm and real. What made this wedding more memorable and interesting, was that it was my first time to shoot a bride with a twin who was also her maid of honor. Imagine my surprise! I’m just glad I didn’t get confused with Charisse and Charmaine. Enjoy these surreal and beautiful photos from Charisse and Roald’s wedding. _________ Suppliers: Gown: Philip Tampus Make-up: Wenwen Zaspa Video:  MVP Digital Video Coordination: HM Events Styling: Accent Cagayan Emcee: Cyrus Alcala Reception: Limketkai Luxe Hotel Photo: Paolo Nierves [shareprints gallery_id=”63066″ gallery_type=”masonry” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”medium” image_padding=”5″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”zoomin” lightbox_type=”slide” comments=”true” sharing=”true”]

Daphne and Carrick | A Nuwa Hotel Wedding

Details, details, details. This couple was able to plan their wedding down to the tiniest detail you could ever think of. Wanting the best for your wedding day is what most brides dream off from their couturier to their make up artist to their photographer you name it, but to the nails of their bridesmaids, to the personalized wine glasses?? This is how hands-on this bride is, you name it, daphne has it covered I’m quite sure. Having shot their prenup in Bali (see the feature here) I knew right away that I’ll be able to shoot this couple in a breeze. Enjoy the photos and see how Carrick and my camera loves Daphne so much! ______________ Suppliers: Photo: Paolo Nierves Video: Forevermine Wedding Films Make-up: Mark Qua Nails: Mimi Qiu Reyes Gown: Ryan Ablaza Uson Coordination: Christine Ong Te Events Host: JC Alelis [shareprints gallery_id=”76530″ gallery_type=”masonry” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”medium” image_padding=”5″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”zoomin” lightbox_type=”slide” comments=”true” sharing=”true”]
