Metrophoto Siargao

Siargao Wedding Photographer | Rianne and David (Part 1 of 2)

Several posts back when we featured the Siargao prenup photos of Joan and Artom, mentioned how Siargao is arguably the most photographed place in the Philippines. When we said this, we meant photos that we see all over social media and online – everyone’s in fact. Little did we know that it would be true for Metrophoto as well. Since late last year, we have shot pre-weddings and weddings here almost as much as we do in any other place outside Metro Manila. It hit us straight in the face and we just love it. Today we are sharing the first part of the Siargao engagement session of Rianne and David. For all those familiar with Siargao, we know that there is always an adventure waiting to happen, and it is no different in this one. Enjoy.

Siargao Pre-wedding Photographer | Joan and Artom

If there is one place that people are so familiar about and yet they haven’t been to yet, I guess it has to be Siargao Island. This paradise could be the most Instagrammed place in the Philippines (yes, even with Batanes now having a 3G signal). Everyday I see Siargao in my feed several times a day and I must admit, these are photos I enjoy seeing. Visiting the place for the first time, I understood what all the enthusiastic sharing was all about. First off, it’s extremely convenient. You get off the plane, take a half-hour scenic route via land, and you’re in your place to stay already, somewhere amazing. No other transfers needed – no boat rides, no unpleasant and congested routes, and no waiting. It’s close the convenience of Balesin, but here, every one is a member. Secondly, the vibe is raw and very welcoming. Everyone smiles at everyone and every one talks to everyone. Honestly, every tricycle ride we took, we felt the driver became our friend – they are that nice. Lastly, the island is filled with so many interesting and unique places to see and shoot. Yes, people go there primarily to surf and for the beaches, but there are just so much more. I am not exaggerating when I say it is a haven for photographers. With this prenup shoot of Joan and Artom in Siargao, we only scratched the surface of the island. It has left us wanting to get back, and […]

Bayud Siargao Wedding Photographer | Nat and Willie

This is a wedding that may very well seem like it came out of a magazine. But it also stops you because while it is so stunningly beautiful, it also so relaxed and exudes so much warmth and emotion. This is not just how weddings feel like in Siargao, it is actually how weddings are in Siargao. Quaint, graceful, and amazing. Nat and Willie chose the beautiful resort of Bayud for their Siargao wedding. Tucked several kilometers away from the town of General Luna, it is the perfect quiet spot for an intimate Siargao destination wedding. Metrophoto has slowly but very much been embracing the island one shoot after another and with the help of the locals that are part of the team, we have been able to put together photography and videography coverages that are truly as breathtaking as Siargao itself. Of course, it always helps to shoot such beautiful and very kind-hearted people as Nat and Willie. They make you feel very welcome and their happiness just rubs off on everyone as you will see in the photos below. Enjoy this first Siargao Wedding photos series from Metrophoto Siargao. Special thanks for Janis Medina of Siargao Weddings who is such an amazing wedding planner that’s based is Siargao for making it a flawless day.

Siargao Wedding Photographer | Joyce Pring and Juancho Trivino

Here is to making ends meet. We recently had the privilege of not only shooting again in Siargao, but also having no other than Joyce Pring and Juancho Trivino as subjects for their prenup photos. Since we established Metrophoto Siargao last year, this surely is the biggest and the most high-profile shoot as of yet. Speaking of this being a big shoot, it goes without saying that we planned for this early on. Regular readers of the blog know that we are suckers for controlling things as much as we can. Consequently, speaking of high profile as well, there are just things that we cannot control no matter how much we plan, especially in working with such in-demand personalities and celebrities like Joyce and Juancho. Our supposedly easy-paced three-day shoot was compressed to an impossible four and a half-hour window that is bookended by Juancho arriving and leaving the island via the Siargao airport. It was an insane task but we are not wedding photographers, more so Metrophoto for nothing. If any, we embraced that pressure, laid it on the floor and embraced it again. So we went through the shoot plan once again and picked what we feel are the best and most efficient we can do, with the given time. Out of the list are any shoots that will require a boat ride or far-flung attractions in places like Pacifico and Magpupungko. Given the anticipated mad rush, we chose Cloud 9, the coconut road, and the Maasin River […]

Siargao Prenup Photographer | Maebel and David (part 1)

I have always been an avid traveler. My work has taken me to different places I had never thought I could go to growing up. But I also believe that no matter how many times I go to these different locations, I will always find something new and fascinating sites to shoot at. With Siargao having a lot to offer, you can go far by visiting the place. You will definitely see so many interesting things on the island. You can walk or drive for a few minutes and your eyes will never fail to meet a mix of unique and amazing spots. The island is so alive that almost every week there are new restaurants to try or new places to hang out. Siargao is one of the most interesting and captivating places to have a photoshoot, whether just for vacation or for a pre-wedding shoot. It is an island that you’ll keep coming back to. I would like to thank David and Maebel for choosing Metrophoto Siargao. And just like my other clients, they pushed me to think outside the box and make the experience something new and one-of-a-kind for them. They made this whole shoot fun and beautiful. Enjoy! ________________ Suppliers: Photo: Oly Ruiz Make-up: Janice thebeautyfairy Styling: Aireen

“It was a million tiny little things that, when you added them all up, they meant we were supposed to be together … and I knew it. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home. .. only to no home I’d ever known … I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was like … magic.” ~ Sleepless in Seattle
