Monique and Franklin Saint James the Great Wedding

I wasn’t able to meet Monique and Franklin before their wedding and when I saw Monique, I really thought she was gorgeous. The wedding was so relaxed and I thought we’d have some fun and do #fingermouthing and Monique definitely pulled it off. Some even teased her that it was the Duterte pose, but she definitely owned it and it turned out totally glam.     Supplier Line-up: Coordination: Getting Married Videography: Ian Celis Make-up: Yciar Castillo Wedding Gown: The Bridal Room Host: Darlene Tan-Salazar Ceremony: Saint James the Great Parish Reception: The Palms Country Club

Kaye and Janus | Santuario De San Antonio and Whitespace Makati Wedding

Every woman looks forward to their wedding day and of course, if not all, most women want the bright sun to welcome them on their special day. But even on special days, no matter how much you prepare, there can be setbacks. But it is how you respond in such situations that makes everything worthwhile. On Kaye and Janus’ special day, the rain did not stop pouring. For some, they’d be disappointed and let the rain ruin this moment, but not Kaye and Janus. Despite this unpredictable circumstance, this fun and chill couple, along with their family and friends, kept the spirits high and partied the whole day through. Kaye and Janus is a living reminder to never let circumstances, most especially those out of our control, dictate or determine how we feel or what to do. They reminded me that it is a choice to enjoy life despite what’s happening around us. As the saying goes, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” Enjoy Kaye and Janus’ fun and high spirited photos. _____________________________ Suppliers: Photo: Erron Ocampo Video: Cinemaworks Coordination: Empire Weddings Make-up: Albert Kurniawan Hair: Jerry Javier Gown: Francis Libiran Bridal Event Styling: Dave Sandoval Music: Manila Philharmonic Orchestra

Kat and Leon | Las Casas de Acuzar Pre-Wedding

I like going to new places for shoots. Whether it’s local or international, I get excited whenever I’m in a new environment. I’ve done shoots before at Las Casas and the Metrophoto team has done quite a few recently. It was my first in a long while and so many new additions have been made at the complex. The challenge here is to shoot in a different perspective and do a unique shoot. I always try to look at places with different sets of eyes to make the most of the location. Whether it’s my first or my nth time, that has always been my approach to keep everything fresh. Karen and Dave | A Santuario De San Antonio Parish Wedding

Amidst the grandeur of weddings that I usually cover, it’s sometimes easy to get lost in the lavish details; like the extravagant gowns, the beautiful decor and, the magnificent flowers. I believe that intimacy and familiarity, is what every wedding, whether big or small, need. It’s the aspect of weddings that reminds everyone, even me, that marriage goes beyond the glamour and beauty of the ceremony. And this can be seen in Karen and Dave’s wedding. What made it really uniquely intimate was the close relationship of the couple with the Cardinal who officiated their wedding. It was an apt reminder to everyone, including me, that weddings are not mere ceremonies, but a celebration of love and relationships.   Enjoy the romantic and refreshing photos from the wedding of Karen and Dave.  ____________________________ Suppliers: Photo: Erron Ocampo Coordination: Gen Young Video: Bob Nicolas Make-up: Jake Galvez Grooming: The Spoiled groom Emcee: Atom Ungson Bridal Gown: Joji Aguilar Styling: Gideon Hermosa Venue: Shangri-la Fort Band: 3rd Avenue Music

Santorini – Athens Pre-Wedding | Jennifer and Elwyn

Santorini is for sure in everyone’s travel bucket list of places to go to. Its world famous white and blue structures on the island’s cliff sides has been the inspiration of many resorts, hotels and residences all over the world, but actually being in Greece is totally different. It’s really hard to choose locations to shoot at, not because of the lack of, but because of the abundance. I’ve been blessed to be back on this magnificent island in the Aegean Sea, this time for Jennifer and Elwyn’s pre-wedding shoot. The last I was there was during off-peak season and we basically had the island to ourselves. This time around, it was right in the middle of the peak season and the challenge was real in shooting away from the throngs of tourists on the island. But yes, the island is big enough for all of us. Aside from Santorini, we also had a quick shoot in Athens before wrapping-up our Greece pre-wedding shoot. The whole trip was full of fun and adventures for us. Gowns and Suits by Francis Libiran

Avi and Maynard | Nueva Ecija Pre-wedding Photographer

With a typhoon forecasted, we hoped and prayed for good weather while traveling to the Bali of the North. We were a little apprehensive but it turned out that everything went well as there was no rain during the shoot.  It was a little muddy but the couple took it all in stride and we can’t help but be infected by their ability to be game even when in an uncomfortable situation.  As a result, the shoots we took of them at the dam were according to our desire and expectation.  All in all, it was a great experience that left us with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. May you enjoy the peaceful and beautiful photos of this couple. ____________ Suppliers: Photo: Erron Ocampo Styling: Jeff Galang Make-up: Mariah Santos Hair: Arvin Santos

Coleen and Billy’s Official Prenup Photos

Many of you know that we went to the extremes to shoot a totally unique prenup session for Coleen and Billy in Ethiopia (see it here). With it, we were able to showcase that prenup pictorials can be done with such splendour and passion. By design, we now go to the other end of the spectrum to give you a side of the couple that is unguarded, candid, and relaxed. Shot with ease and in backdrops that exhibit simplicity and clarity, it is the love and connection between Coleen and Billy that is the highlight of these prenup photos – the most official ones. We hope that these photographs, together with those from Ethiopia, show that love can be represented in many ways but still be tasteful, still be beautiful and still be real. We can’t thank Coleen and Billy enough for allowing us to dream and to execute in limits that has not been done before. Their passion for each other, for the people around them, and for their wedding is exceptional and they really deserve all the best that life can offer. We hope you enjoy the photos and look forward to those of the wedding photos of Coleen and Billy in a couple of days. Vhong Navarro and Tanya Bautista | A Vietnam Prenup Special

I’m sure I’ve done more than a thousand shoots in my career. That may mean I’m old (not that old, at least), but it also shows how far reaching shooting weddings has been for me. Despite the myriad of experiences that has brought me everywhere across the globe, there is always something new to be excited about, something new to look forward to, and something new to love. Today’s feature marks a couple of these new somethings. Firstly, as many countries as I have visited (the number is far more than my age), this was the first time to travel to Vietnam. I could hardly believe that a place so beautiful is constantly overlooked. Vietnam offers an amazing array of landscapes and movie-set-like spots in just about every town – not to mention the endless phoa and iced coffee one can consume – enough to keep me satisfied and wide awake, no matter how many hours we shot and how many plane rides we took.  Secondly, this is the first time I’m shooting two extremely talented and well-known people in different but connected fields. The bride, a scriptwriter, is attractive, astute, and one of the most delightful persons I have ever encountered. She says she hates me, but I know she loves me! Haha. The groom is handsome (he’s not “Mr. Suave” for no reason), humble, and one of the wittiest and best actor-host-comedians of our time. I grew up idolizing him while he was performing as a member of […]

The Official Wedding Photos of Coleen and Billy

Several years back, Coleen caught my attention with her Creamsilk ad, with it was an attached write-up describing herself and it really hit a spot. She could be the absolute Metrophoto celebrity bride – if only she chooses Metrophoto to shoot her when hel time to tie the knot comes. Fast forward to a few years after. Those thoughts became a reality, and Coleen and Billy are exactly what I dreamt them to be – a blessing to this craft that what we love to do. They have taken the core of our style, embraced it and shared it for the world to see. It took more than 10 years, but everything that happened before culminated to what is Metrophoto’s finest moment yet. From Ethiopia, back to Manila for their prenup shoots and now to Balesin to celebrate and shoot their wedding, it has been to us what is probably the equivalent of an NBA team’s journey to a first ever championship. So please do allow us to share the official photos from the wedding of our beloved Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia-Crawford. Enjoy. Thank you to all we have worked with in this adventure. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity and we’ll never forget it.
