Astrid and Greg | A Tagaytay Wedding

Welcoming the weekend with this beautiful wedding of Astrid and Greg. Astrid and I go way back. I met her at the wedding of our very good friend, Anthony, almost ten years ago. We never lost touch, and throughout all this time, it was about being excited about who Astrid was finally going to marry every time I thought about her or saw her. And here we are, a couple of months after that wonderful day, sharing all the beautiful moments for everyone to see. It was such a heartwarming day to see someone you know so dearly get married and, more so, have a lot of familiar people you love to be there as well. Enjoy the photos.

The Wedding of Kim and Keane

4:00 am call time. Normally, this kind of wedding schedule is not favorable for us suppliers. However, we never complain to any wedding schedule. It definitely helped that Kim and Keane are such a beautiful and kind couple. Despite the incredibly early shoot, they were very much willing to work and help us create everything as beautiful as we did. Even after the morning ceremony, they were still shooting with us at Intramuros in the afternoon heat. Then even later that night we stayed with them throughout their evening reception with close to 1000 guests. Couples like Kim and Keane undoubtedly show us how weddings are a team effort between the couple and their suppliers. And the result? The photos you see below. Tessa and Dennis | Balesin Pre-25th Anniversary Photos

Tessa and Dennis’ love for each other is like the sun; it’s both warm and bright. I enjoyed seeing them full of life. I could see the joy and excitement in their eyes. One look at them and you could immediately see that their married life is full of warmth. I saw how safe and comfortable Tessa was in the arms of Dennis. They needed no reason to love each other, they just do. As Paulo Coelho once said, “One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.” Scroll through our pictures and see the life and warmth of this couple. Enjoy! The Wedding of Sarah and Edison

You know what happens when your making plans? Life. Sarah and Edison were more than ready to get married, but they suddenly found themselves needing to fast-track their plans. Sarah’s father sadly passed away, and a long-held Chinese practice is to get married within a hundred days of the death or wait for another two years. They took the plunge (of the plunge they are already taking) and decided to go for the more immediate route. What they pulled off was near impossible. This meant booking San Sebastian Church for the ceremony and the Marriott Grand Ballroom for the reception, along with invitations for about 1,700 guests. They also managed squeeze in an adventurous but super elegant pre-wedding shoot at Tinipak River in Tanay, Rizal (you should see it). Sarah and Edison did all this with hardly any hint of a rush and with grace and serenity. And we are privileged to capture it all for them. In today’s feature of the photos of their wedding celebration, we witnessed their heartfelt exchange of vows and the poignant, tearful moments between Sarah and her family. Her father’s memory lives on with them, and now, Edison is there to love and take care of Sarah and they can embrace the future and share their life together. Life happens when you’re making plans. For Sarah and Edison, they were able to uphold tradition, honor those who have gone ahead, and begin a new chapter of their lives. They did everything with such grace […]

Jeanette and Jeff | A Balinese Escape

I’ve always cringed at the sight of structures that try hard to copy authentic architectures abroad. From the mediterranean to the Iberian peninsula-inpired, these half-baked houses are the favorite of many wedding couples and photographers. We try to stay out of them because sometimes, we do get to go the actual places themselves and always, they just scream ‘trying-hard’. The reason is that the tastefully-made ones are always private, they don’t want to rent out the place to every couple (or to anyone) just to make money. Case in point for today’s feature that takes us to Bali. This exclusive estate is more Balinese that many of the places I’ve been to in Bali. And why not, the plan was carefully executed and almost all of the materials were imported from Bali itself. If that’s not enough, how about having their own orangutan? You will see what we mean in the photos we shot there. I’m very proud of Jeanette and Jeff for finding such a gem just hours from Manila. And I am even more proud of them for making such wonderful subjects in what was an already amazing location. Enjoy the photos and the BTS video below. Venice Italy Pre-Wedding | Ehra and Tom

Many of you may be able to recognise the gorgeous bride in today’s feature. Ehra Madrigal, as she is more famously known, is set to tie the knot later this year to finance Tom, a pharmacist, real estate broker, business man, and overall super cool guy. A few months back, we were all in Venice, Italy to shoot their pre-wedding photos. I’ve always said that Venice is one of my most favourite places in the world. I don’t think that there is anything close to how unique the place is. It is expectedly beautiful like any place in Europe but with a locale and a landscape that is truly its own. Every visit is like the first time and this last time was even more special because we got to shoot together with Ehra and Tom and their love for each other. So at least for today, allow us to take you back with us to one of the most amazing places on earth with one of the most amazing couples we’ve come across and relive Venice unlike any other way before. Enjoy the photos. Special thanks to Mickey See for Ehra’s Make-up, Joe San Antonio for Ehra’s Gown, Boy Kastner Santos for Tom’s Suit and OTAA for Tom’s accessories.

Kam and Lewis | A Shanghai China Pre-wedding Special

It’s a struggle to write blog posts when there aren’t many words to say, but the struggle is most when there are just too many, it seems impossible to determine where to start. I’m at a lost for words writing today’s feature. I don’t know if it is because the experience was amazing, or because the photos were some of the best I’ve shot, or because Kam and Lewis were two people just being incredible in so many ways. Honestly, I think it is all of those. This trip took us to China’s cities of Shanghai, Lijiang, and Shangri-la. Each city has its own charm and each offered a different adventure both photo-wise and experience-wise. Being a city guy, I love cosmopolitans. Shanghai obviously is a favourite and while I was familiar with it somehow, I was still surprised with how we were able to bring about the allure of old China just by walking around. From the shoots we did on a rooftop overlooking Shanghai’s captivating skyline, to those by the streets; we were able to capture contrasting sides of the city (old and new and night and day) that were both intense and beautiful. These photos are those you will see in the first part of the feature. The second part of this special post, showcases the photos from Lijiang and Shangri-la, which I didn’t know was a real place (and not just a hotel brand). A part of the Tibetan Autonomous Region, Shangri-la indeed feels like being […]

Anne and Don | Cappadocia Pre-Wedding Photographer (Part 1)

Be sure to check part 2 of this 2-part Cappadocia series of Anne and Don. There are so many things to talk about today’s Cappadocia pre-wedding shoot feature: about how great it is to be back shooting here again, about how we had some interesting ideas from the previous trip that we were able to execute this time around, about how this amazing place just never gets old, and many many other things. But the best thing about today’s feature of this Cappadocia engagement session is that mere descriptions don’t give it justice. We have a breathtaking set of photos and a wonderful behind-the-scenes video that will not only show you how unique this experience is, but also take you there, exactly where the heart of the action took place. From the Cappadocia hot air balloons, to the primitive stone churches, and all the beautiful spots this part of Turkey has to offer, we made sure that we show what Cappadocia is all about, and more. Very grateful to Anne and Don for letting us experience Cappadocia once again. Enjoy. ________________ Suppliers: Photo: Oly Ruiz Make-up: Mark Qua Styling: Adrianne Concept

The Wedding of Ann and Melvin

Our feature today brings us back to late last year when Ann and Melvin celebrated their love in the most wonderful fashion, in front of their friends and family. It was a wedding filled with deep affection and with everything that is beautiful. You can easily spot that with Ann, she has impeccable taste and talent. She was the one who actually designed all her entourage’s dresses and as impressive as that sounds, one will be amazed to know that she had 18 unbelievably lovely ladies beside her and each one had their own unique gown, sublimely cut and styled. They all looked beautiful put together and even individually. As big as this group is, I can’t remember having more fun shooting with an entire set of female entourage. It was combination of many contrasting personalities but collectively fun, high-spirited, and delightfully tormenting. This goes to show that Ann’s taste extend beyond things, but to her choice of friends as well. Melvin is one of the coolest and smartest guy I know. He’s just really pleasant be with, maybe except when it’s time to take his photos. haha. But like I said, he’s cool, so we agree on how many I will take, I don’t infringe that number, and we are best friends. Paolo shot most of this solo photos anyway, so yeah we’re cool. This feature will likely be the second of four straight that I will post of a wedding we shot in Shangri-la at the Fort. We […]
