Maebel and David | A Conrad Manila Wedding

Almost all clients come up to us to ask if their lack of ‘modeling’ skills is a hindrance to getting those beautiful Metrophoto signature shots. Of course, our consistent output proves that it is not. We love couples who understand that it only takes their willingness to be able to do shots that are distinct and are worth the time and money they spent. Now imagine if this ‘lack of modeling skills’ is not even a concern to start with. Yes, it can come to a point when the bride will tire us before we tire them. But it’s the most exciting of experiences. I’m sure you’ll all agree when you see the photos from the wedding of Maebel and David today. Maebel is extremely fun to shoot. I can go crazy with an idea and she will make it look more insane by executing it beautifully. She has that innate skill of captivating the camera and, yes, that means, the photographers as well. You should also see their prenup photos from Siargao for good measure. Not all brides are the same, and although Metrophoto brides are in a league of their own, some have more skills in front of the camera than we can initially handle. We are very grateful for moments like these. Enjoy the photos. ____________________ Suppliers: Photo: Oly Ruiz Make-up: MKQua Planning: Wedding Treasures Gown: Elizabeth Hallie Design Video: Project Mayo 7 Flowers and Styling: Drew Menor Reception: Conrad Manila Emcee: Ryan Tercero

Kristina and Roel | An Intimate Manila Marriott Hotel Wedding

After a 6-month hiatus from shooting in hotels, I’m so glad to be back! I feel like we’re back to Q1 of 2020! Also, I was thrilled to be able to shoot a familiar face. I remember Kristina was part of the entourage of Krysel and Brian, a wedding that we shot 4 years ago. So when they booked me for their big day, I was quite sure that Kristina already knew how to be a #metrophotobride. It was a festive mood all throughout the day even if it started to rain really hard just when Kristina was about to go down the aisle. Nevertheless, no amount of rain can take away the smiles from the faces of the couple that day. The beauty and uniqueness of every wedding we shoot comes from the couple themselves. Yes, we enhance the beauty of the celebration through our angles and perspectives, but I won’t take it away from Kristina and Roel who obviously are the main reasons for this beautiful celebration. _____________ Suppliers: Photo: Paolo Nierves Coordination: Getting Married Gown: Leo Almodal Video: Notion in Motion Makeup: Mark Qua Hair: Renz Pangilinan Host: Kevin Lapena

Trina and Randy | A Manila Intimate Wedding Photographer

The soulful connections I’ve made through all the shoots we’ve done at Metrophoto have always been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my job. This particular post is especially close to my heart because it has truly been a wonderful family affair to be a part of Trina and Randy’s special day, since I photographed her sister Monicca’s wedding 6 years ago and then her aunt Camille’s wedding a year after that. Czarina, the youngest of three sisters, did an amazing job on Trina’s make-up. Imagine if I get to shoot her wedding as well – three beautiful Metrophotobride sisters. Those stuff are made for movies. I made sure to capture Trina and Randy’s wedding through the lens of not just a professional photographer, but also that of a family friend that has seen the hard work that the couple put into making sure that their special day was exactly what they wanted it to be: classic, sophisticated, and yet a standout. And that it indeed was, and more. The couple’s special day did not come without any hiccups; what was once a guest list of about 400 people had to be trimmed to a lean 50 guests due to the health restrictions that come with these times. Nevertheless, Trina and Randy gladly made lemonade out of life’s lemons and ultimately had an intimate and beautiful ceremony celebrating their union with those nearest and dearest to their hearts. I love looking back at these photos; the images show how […]

Dianne and Elvin | Blue Leaf McKinley Weddings

It has been several months since the wedding of Dianne and Elvin, and it feels both recent and so long ago. Recent because everything is still so vivid – the connections, the fun, and yet it also feels so long ago because this was right in the middle of the pandemic, and so much has happened since then. What I’m certain about is that this is one of our biggest and most-awaited during the pandemic. The wedding date has moved a few times, but throughout, it was the bond we formed with Dianne and Elvin and their families that would always stand out. From their Tinghun to their prenup shoot and up to the day the wedding finally happened, it was constant graciousness and affection. These two are indeed the most pleasant people you would encounter. Thus it never fails to uplift my spirits every time I see these photos. They remind me of perseverance, patience, and the lack of permanency – something that makes us appreciate things more. I hope that today, by seeing the same photos and ‘experiencing’ the celebration through them, you feel the same gratitude and inspiration. Enjoy the photos. Eunice and Patrick | A Manila Wedding

Romance is often perceived as an ideal scenario like entering a greenhouse filled with beautiful blooming roses. A rosy life, as they say, when everything in the world seems to smile back in every possible way. Finding the perfect love is somewhat subjective. To most people, the perfection of love is the beauty of two souls finding each other among billions of people in the world. For Eunice and Patrick, it is finding each other, and fighting for a love that only comes once in a lifetime. Circumstances and other challenges besotted the union of this humble and charming couple, and having some things they wished they could didn’t materialize as planned. Relationships are often tested every once in a while, but for these two, their test came early. But despite all these emotional hurdles, the tears during the ceremony felt like waves of comforting drizzle on an overcast day. An assurance of a union surrounded by people who have believed in their love and their story right from the very start. A love worth celebrating, a love worth fighting for. Just like how the lyrics of the song “Love Will Always Win” goes: Fight for love, and the world tries to break us down.. But the world will bend, and the fight will end.. Love will always win.. Eunice and Patrick allow us to learn that not all love stories are surrounded with flawless and smooth-sailing circumstances. But when love is worth the fight, you hold your head up high and […]

Iloilo Destination Weddings | Chin and Tata

After only being in Iloilo once before for a wedding, we shot two wedding there this year and the last one was that of Chin and Tata. It was a very emotional wedding because Chin’s mom unexpectedly passed away several months ago in the middle of all the wedding preparations. I’m sure it was bitter sweet for Chin and her family but her mom presence was obvious throughout that entire day. Thank again to Chin and Tata and their entire families for having us.

The Wedding of Mikki and Miko

Everyone has their own version of what a dream wedding should be. I have shot the most beautiful weddings for almost 10 years now and while every wedding is perfect in their own way, I’ve never seen a wedding where nothing was compromised. Sometimes, it’s the groom’s suit, sometimes it’s the set of people in it, sometimes it’s the pre-wedding shoot location – there is always something that could be done better or people could be more cooperative. I am weary to use the word perfect to describe the wedding of Mikki and Miko because they say nothing is ever so. But if I can’t think of ways a wedding can be better, then it is perfect – at least for me. This is a celebration filled with nothing but the best of everything and I’m talking both about things and people. In all of the weddings I’ve seen, nothing was this uncompromised, nothing was filled with such nice and beautiful people, nothing was this absolutely wonderful. I still can’t get over this wedding and how many amazing photos we were able to capture. I honestly think that people have missed out if they were not able to see every beautiful little and big thing in this event. So here we are to take everyone back to the wedding that everyone would dream of. The Wedding of Donna and Ivan

When Donna booked me for her wedding, I realized that we will have a quick turnover. It would only be a couple of months before her wedding and they also wanted to shoot the pre-wedding session just days before that. But what really helped in this situation is the same reason Donna booked late. She initially settled for a photographer but later on decided to just go with her guts and book us. This is the same gutsy person that allowed us to shoot beautiful and unconventional shots, both during the pre-wedding and wedding shoots, without much fuzz. I’m always grateful for the clients that book us, while they are all different, they are also all the same in making each and every experience with them worthwhile. Hope you enjoy this wedding feature in Pallazo Verde that’s a little more different and a little more beautiful than those you normally see in the same location. The Wedding of Anchesca and Vijay

We have shot many weddings from many cultures. But I think that this is the first time we had a Filipino Chinese get married to a Filipino Indian. Today’s feature of Anchesca and Vijay’s wedding is as unique as it is special. Opposites do attract. Vijay is tall, dark, and intimidating and while Anchesca is petit, sweet, and approachable. Yet they make the perfect couple. They are beautiful individually and even moreso together. They exude this very pleasant aura that makes you want to hang out with them all the time. :) We complete that Indian, Chinese, and Pinoy trifecta. haha. This wedding is overflowing with things that are novel and things that are classic but all of them absolutely beautiful. I hope you enjoy every frame, every emotion, and every detail of this marriage between two very distinct but very wonderful cultures.
