Anna Cay and Geloy Villalobos | A Metrophoto Wedding Special

__________ Suppliers: Photo: Oly Ruiz Video: Cinemaworks Styling: Jeff Galang Make-up: Jelly Eugenio Hair: Paul Nebres Bride’s Shoes: Jefferson Si Gown: Mak […]

Vanessa and Luigi | A Manila Wedding

They say the reward is much sweeter when one has to patiently wait for it, and I had the pleasure of being witness to this truth for Vanessa and Luigi’s beautiful church wedding. Vanessa and Luigi knew that they wanted a wedding that was warm, elegant, and surrounded by beauty. But due to health restrictions in 2020, they were forced to put their grand celebration on hold. This bump in the road did not deter them from their ultimate goal of having their lives forever intertwined together as man and wife. They were blessed with an addition to their beautiful family, and the couple couldn’t be more ecstatic. It seemed that they had everything they have ever wanted and more… except for the big wedding celebration they initially planned. As some of the pandemic protocols became more lenient this year, Vanessa and Luigi decided that after all that time they spent patiently waiting, they were finally going to pursue the wedding that they had always dreamed of, including a heart-stopping portrait session in the middle of the newly built Skyway. I had the honor of shooting Vanessa and Luigi’s special day, especially since it was so easy to shoot this beautiful couple. The journey that the couple had to undertake to achieve their larger-than-life wedding serves as a great reminder that sometimes when it seems like things aren’t going the way we had planned for it to go, it is because there is something much better waiting for us on […]

The Wedding of Rhea Bue and Jeff Ong

As the saying goes, “Choose a job that you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” This statement rung so true last Cinco de Mayo, when Jeff and Rhea finally tied the knot. One, I was reminded that, yes, I did choose the job best-suited to me, something that I wholeheartedly love. Two, shooting their big day didn’t feel like work at all! More than anything, it felt like a big, happy fiesta with good friends who just happened to be the most fun and stylish people as well. I’ve known Jeff and Rhea for some time. They booked us before the pandemic hit and I’ve gotten to know them better over the years. As influencers, they’re used to being in front of the camera which is a big plus in itself. What’s even better, these two are just game for anything! It was so much fun talking and sharing our ideas about what we can do. Their prenup and wedding turned out just as I expected: edgy, high fashion, and totally Metrophoto.  To be chosen as their photographer is both a huge compliment and privilege. But what I love even more is the special friendship we’ve developed. And I suppose this is what we hope to have with mostly everyone we shoot as well. Jeff and Rhea, thank you for making us a part of your big day. It was one filled with so much love, so much joy, and so much alcohol, […]

The Wedding of Kim and JR

It’s been raining for a few days, and while I know that some of you want sunshine already, some of you are also enjoying this incessant gloom of the weather. Whichever side you’re on, you’ll surely be in for a visual treat. Today’s feature can be considered a wave of warmth and a boost to the spirit. A wedding filled with an abundance of pretty things and passionate moments that will make us forget that umbrellas are necessary if we want to go out today. On the other hand, these photographs also augment what is already a sentimental and romantic feeling given by the overcast skies – two gorgeous people having the wedding of their dreams with scenes that are right out of a Hollywood movie. This wedding of Kim and JR has everything. So take your pick, or don’t. It doesn’t really matter. This is all about a love and a celebration that’s beautiful in any setting, at any time, and in any weather.

Monique and Franklin Saint James the Great Wedding

I wasn’t able to meet Monique and Franklin before their wedding and when I saw Monique, I really thought she was gorgeous. The wedding was so relaxed and I thought we’d have some fun and do #fingermouthing and Monique definitely pulled it off. Some even teased her that it was the Duterte pose, but she definitely owned it and it turned out totally glam.     Supplier Line-up: Coordination: Getting Married Videography: Ian Celis Make-up: Yciar Castillo Wedding Gown: The Bridal Room Host: Darlene Tan-Salazar Ceremony: Saint James the Great Parish Reception: The Palms Country Club

The Wedding of Jeanette and Jeff

The wedding of Jeanette and Jeff has been one of my most anticipated. Mickey See is a good friend and when it is his little sister who’s going to get married, that calls for something else – the best of the best suppliers and at the very least, the best of the best in the hair and make-up industry. Jeanette is a wonder. She is one of the most beautiful brides that I have ever shot. Form any angle and in any pose she would nail it as gorgeously as a Roger Federer backhand. I immensely enjoyed working with the weddings of co-suppliers and this one is no different: It was touching, it was glorious, and it was very fun. And I appreciate the extreme kindness that Jeannette and Jeff extended to us. They treated with great consideration, like family and I will forever be grateful for that. Enjoy the photos. The Wedding of Shayne and Alex | Punta Bulata

Remember a time when you are set to go to a place you know is beautiful but don’t exactly know how it looked like? What you know are based from a few photos in the internet and the accounts of your friends who’ve been there. It takes you a plane ride and a good four hours to get to the place and you realize that the excitement is all worth it. We travelled to Punta Bulata several weeks back to shoot the wedding of Shayne and Alex. It was a paradise on it own but turned out to be more because of the wonderful people we worked with and worked for. An amazing couple (gorgeous both inside and outside), beautiful details, the ideal weather, delicious food, the most spectacular views, and working with Bacolod’s finest wedding suppliers sure made the trip more than worth it and we enjoyed every minute of it. I hope you enjoy the photos below as well and I hope they turn out as good as how we described them to be. The Wedding of Princess and Junino

Metrophoto prides itself with providing the top-class service. We thrive in meeting the aspirations of clients who have the most impeccable tastes and the most uncompromising reputation. ‘For people who are harder to please’ started as tagline but is now a verity. Expectedly, within our clientele consisting of such people, there would be brides who will be harder to please than those who are, ‘harder to please.’ That may sound daunting or even discouraging, but if you are extremely charming, excessively sweet, and exceptionally beautiful, then you are Princess, our today’s feature, and you can get away with that. I love Princess and Junino, they are the type of people who know exactly what they want and they also know what it takes to make it happen. They appreciate the right kind of effort and true talent. They have dreamed of this wedding for so long and they want nothing else than for it to be perfect. And you know what? Perfect is what it really seemed to be. As you will see in the photos below, everything one would want in a wedding they absolutely had – the beauty, the details, the fun, the love, the laughter and most definitely, the happy ever after. Every happy client is jewel in our crown, but when they are like those of Princess and Junino, we appreciate and enjoy that jewel a little bit more.:) Suppliers: Coordination: Chinkie Uy Make-up: Mickey See Video: Bob Nicola Flowers and Styling: Teddy Manuel Preparation Venue: […]

The Wedding of Gina and Bennett

I built the metrophoto brand primarily as an extension of myself – a self-proclaimed perfectionist and a know-it-all critic. I asked myself, if I were to get married again and could afford the best photographer, what would he/she be like? There were obvious answers and there were very unexpected ones, but by putting them together, one by one, and with a growing team, we were able to create a model that is sincere, beautiful, and most importantly reliable. We like to refer to Metrophoto as a customer service company that happens to take amazing photos (Southwest-inspired). This set-up faced a huge challenge when I met Gina. Sophisticated (highly), intelligent (Ivy leaguer), and will not compromise (seemingly), she could take apart every aspect of what we do. Of course she is just half of it, Bennett was a blindspot then and an added challenge – he is all those descriptions of Gina, only funnier albeit less sexy and ‘bilugan’. Surprisingly, while it was very challenging, I was more excited and only slightly intimidated. I felt that these two not only made the right choice, but also in doing so, gave us the chance to again expose Metrophoto to the test. After two pre-wedding shoots (one out-of-town and another abroad), one family shoot (the entire Yu family), and one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve shot, I’m happy to tell you that this piece ends happily – not perfect because I did miss a deadline on the family photos and have screwed […]
