Francis Libiran & Christian Mark Jacobs Boracay Love Wins Celebration

Love is love is love is love. It encompasses all and transcends every barrier. After all, love always wins. So much has been said and still so many things to say about the beautiful love celebration of Francis and Christian. From the all the gorgeous details, how annoyingly handsome this couple is, their dashing and stylish guests, we can go on and on. But the extraordinary love between these two is the center of it all. It was a splendid afternoon to get married in the world-famous island of Boracay, Philippines. Surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends from all over the world, Francis and Christian exchanged their heartwarming vows to each other that left most eyes overflowing with joy. The “wedding” they celebrated may not be legally binding yet but it is binding between them and all those who came to witness and rejoice with them. The two have plans to officially make it legal in the US some time next year. Since this is quite a long post, I will stop here and let you enjoy the photos. Tagaytay Weddings | Carla and Darryl

Tagaytay is always a great venue for weddings, with its cool weather, plenty of accommodations, and scenic views. That is a given. But for photographers like me, the place has its challenges. Venues are often far from each other and the weather tends to be cloudy and more unpredictable than NBA free-agents.  When Carla and Darryl got married, it wasn’t just cloudy; it was raining hard – cats and dogs, and it was so much we probably had goats as well. We were lucky to have caught some sunlight when it shone on the Chapel on the Hill but it didn’t last. It always helps to have great subjects though – Carla has this amazing energy and vivaciousness, and while Darryl comes across as smooth and focused, he showed his emotions freely as Carla walked down the aisle. They create such an awesome dynamic, yes as dynamic as the Tagaytay weather. The reception at Antonio’s also gave us more intimate shots. With its elegant interiors and the cuisine the institution is known for, the stage was set for capturing many unforgettable moments and portraits – not to mention a refuge. Most importantly, nothing beats the warmth and sincerity two families and many friends share while celebrating the union of two people. Regardless of the weather, it makes for great shots and great stories. Enjoy the photos. Karen and Roy | A Special Cebu Wedding Feature

Every post I do is special. I carefully select photos, sequence them in a way that will tell the story in the most genuine way, and then I write from the heart about the fondest or the craziest thing I can recall from the whole experience. Most of the time it’s not really about the photos, but about my time with each wonderful client that I encounter. Today’s feature is a special of a special. A Valentine’s day post should count for something, given that it is the holiday most related to what we do – although ‘lndependence day’ is more appropriate for certain couples. Today’s Valentine post does not only feature one of the most beautiful and most beautiful people-filled wedding I’ve ever shot, but it also happens to be exactly one month to this day when this wedding happened and just for good measure, it is also Karen’s birthday. Talk about hitting multiple birds with one stone – this is just more of hitting multiple hearts with one post. I don’t think I can justify enough describing how amazing this wedding of Karen and Roy is, that’s the reason I had to post this today. My bond with them doesn’t really go way way back, yet it goes back, far enough for it to be filled with the most joyous episodes that by the time we are all in Cebu celebrating this event, the trio of superstar stylists Gideon Hermosa, Michael Ruiz, and Teddy Manuel (more excitingly known […]

Jerryl and Marc | A Metrophoto Cebu Wedding

I always believed that good things happen to good people. Sometimes good things happen also to bad people but eventually karma catches-up on them and evens everything out. But today’s feature is about the former and how amazing circumstances work out to people who really deserve it. Last month, while the country was bracing for the arrival of super typhoon Ompong, Jerryl and Marc were also preparing for the worst – it seemed that Ompong heard about the wedding and thought that he was invited. The wedding was set in Cebu but most of the people, including us suppliers, would come from many different places. According to Jerryl: “We worried about our guests coming to Cebu, we worried about our wedding suppliers, we worried about everything. Anxiously stressed that all our efforts in planning this wedding will be gone to waste because of the typhoon. We even came to the point of considering moving our wedding date the next day after the typhoon landed. We prayed hard day & night. We were praying for a miracle.” I had to rebook my flight a few hours before I had to fly just so I could beat Ompong to Cebu. I did beat him and by all means not only me, the entire wedding beat him to it and while he scared the heck out of all of us, he decided he was’t going to crash the celebration. The miracle that Jerryl and Marc prayed for, happened. I’ll leave it to the […]

Evangeline and Lloyd | Conrad Manila

Evangeline, a designer and true lover of what’s beautiful and well-thought-of. Everything about her speaks of form, function and yes, even some fancy. She wanted things for her wedding to be mostly, her own – not only choice-wise but design-wise as well. This is very evident with the way her wedding gown was structured and her invitation was put together. One of the most memorable and fun moments I had while shooting this couple, was their decision to shoot their preparation inside their house. I had a great time taking unconventional shots, including the things she uses in her office or for her design work. She also made everything fun that instead of doing a champagne toast, she opted for the Milktea toast, which was cool. Lloyd and Evangeline incorporated their jolly and awesome personalities into the wedding. This celebration was not only a commemoration of their union but a symbol of who they truly are. And it is a privilege that I was there to witness everything, more so, to be chosen as a designer’s photographer. It was a wedding lavished with artistic details, making it their own work of art. I hope you see how fun and in love these two are through our pictures. Jane and Mark | Conrad Manila Weddings

Jane and Mark are both professionals working in the medical field. I know that working in this kind of field requires attention to detail and, most especially, foresight—traits that are quite helpful when planning for a wedding. Jane and Mark did not immediately got married after they got engaged. It was a long engagement, and building a rapport wasn’t just the case for these two since they just became friends as well. Still, on the bright side, their long engagement gave them sufficient amount of time to properly plan out their wedding. Looking back to their wedding, you can see how every detail of their special day was carefully planned out. In fact, this couple booked Metrophoto two years before their big day! Wow! It actually feels great knowing that I have been with them since the very beginning. Today, I know that this pandemic may have discouraged some couples because it has made their engagement longer. But it’s okay to postpone your special day to keep you, your finances, your guests, and your suppliers safe. For now, take inspiration in Jane and Mark’s wedding as you continue to plan your own dream wedding. Enjoy! ______________________ Suppliers: Photo: Paolo Nierves Video: Mayad Studios Makeup: Mariah Santos Gown: Michael Leyva Suit: Boy Kastner Santos Coordination: Kiss the Girl Events Stylist: Gary Dacanay Reception: Conrad Manila[shareprints gallery_id=”80495″ gallery_type=”masonry” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”medium” image_padding=”5″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”zoomin” lightbox_type=”slide” comments=”true” sharing=”true”]

Lesley and Pope | Iloilo Wedding Photographer

Since we all can’t travel physically, allow us to take you places with our humble blogposts. From Balesin, we now take a quick turn towards Iloilo where we documented the beautiful wedding of Lesley and Pope. There are so many things that I love and cannot forget about this wedding. I think this is the only wedding where I had to fly for the sole purpose of meeting the clients. I never do that, but somehow I loved doing it for Lesley and Pope and they really gave me and Lana a heck of a time while we were there. That trip is something nice to think about given how restricted we are in traveling these days. Also, of all the weddings I’ve shot, this is, by far, the one with the most number of entourage – over one hundred people are listed and marched down the aisle of the Molo Church in Iloilo. It was nothing but fun and fascination. Most of all, this wedding was unforgettable because the whole experience was heightened with how great of a people Lesley and Pope are. They are the type you would want to do everything for and that’s what we did. So let us all take a quick trip to Iloilo today and enjoy these photos. _______________________ Suppliers: Photo: Oly Ruiz Coordination: Loveweds Events Make-up: Donald Viejo Gown: John Clement Flowers & Styling: Wacky Productions Video: Lula Films Host: Dyard Magsipoc [shareprints gallery_id=”79068″ gallery_type=”masonry” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”medium” image_padding=”5″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”zoomin” lightbox_type=”slide” […]

Bernice and Dom | A Shangri-la at The Fort Wedding

I have always dreaded morning weddings. Sleeping early is probably the second-worst thing in the world after having to wake-up very early. So I admit that when I found out during my meeting with Bernice and Dom that their wedding ceremony is at 10 am, I was a little taken aback. Morning weddings don’t come often. At most, they’re twice a year, plus we just finished months of being in quarantine (I’ve been so used to sleeping all day), I just wasn’t ready. I know I sound like a brat, complaining about an event that’s pushing through when most weren’t. But the good stuff is coming, I promise. Bernice and Dom are the good stuff. These two are fun! They are loose, and they can give it to you as much as they can take it. They told me during our meeting that I should just go crazy and execute all the ideas I have for their wedding – from maybe climbing something up to committing a minor felony (not sure). Turned out we didn’t have to do anything illegal to get incredible photos – Bernice, Dom, their families and friends, who were all game, made sure of that. I will still dread early morning weddings, but whenever I do, I can go back to the moment when I felt like an idiot being frightened by what turned out to be one of the most fun times I ever had shooting a wedding. Cheers to our fears, and to the […]
