Ella and James | Batangas Wedding Photographer

This couple was like the sun on that day, shining bright with a love so intense and hot. Their eyes are full of yearning to be close forever and ever, with a pure determination that they will never let anything or anyone get in the way of their union. Ella has taken this magnetic man to be her lover and the home for her heart. Ella and James concentrated on their breath and their steady heartbeats as they wait expectantly to meet in the altar and say their everlasting vows to one another, and those 2 sweet words, “I do.” As Ella walked down the aisle, dazzling and shining in her brilliant gown, all eyes were on her. Guests started taking pictures of her, some were in tears. But what caught me was James. He was stunned and dumbfounded the moment she appeared and he saw his future walk towards him. It was as if the world righted itself. This couple’s love for each other was as unending and as deep as the sea. And I hope you see love without boundaries in our pictures. Sophia and Adrian | An Intimate Saint Alphonsus Mary De Liguori Parish Wedding

Sophia and Adrian are two hoteliers who met way back in 2017 at work. I knew Sophia as an Events Executive in Conrad, she did some of our weddings as well, while Adrian was a Duty Manager at the same hotel. Let’s just say that the world is indeed small and that, in life, some things are just meant to be.  This couple’s relationship is somewhat a long-distance relationship. Being our bride is from Quezon City and Adrian is from Las Piñas. But this couple’s love for one another is so strong that they never let the distance between them hinder their love.  When the pandemic started, and everyone’s events and weddings were postponed, the spirit of this couple was never dampened. They did not allow themselves to be discouraged despite the things happening around them.  Three months before their big day, I remember asking Sophia how their planning was doing. The situation on matters like the hotel and the guest list was uncertain. But she told me, “ipupush namin yung wedding regardless kung how many pwede mag attend.”  One thing was certain for them—the wedding must and will go on! At that moment, I knew that these two knew deep down that being with one another in this lifetime was the most important thing to them. Rhaya and James | Tagaytay Wedding Photographer

The pandemic opened numerous chapters of highs and lows for couples who are about to get married. Some weddings were cancelled indefinitely, others pushed through, and others patiently waited for their own perfect time. But for Rhaya and James, it was about adjusting their sails and letting go. Love took charge of the steering wheel, and the universe just cleared the path to make their union a true testament of the unfathomable force of love. Rhaya’s entire family is from Italy, and James not only served as her rock, but he is also her only “family” in the Philippines. As the travel restrictions relaxed, which allowed her entire family to fly all the way from Italy to attend the wedding, it became the most magical event ever that the couple will cherish for a lifetime – all set in the serenity of Tagaytay. It was a series of heartwarming moments of togetherness, all celebrating as one for Rhaya and James. It is always a touching moment when tears of joy start to well up from the eyes of the attendees, especially for the couple themselves and their parents. So much has happened in the past, and here we are, in the best time – beyond the circumstances and bound by the wishes of the couples’ friends and loved ones. It felt like the sky touched the earth just to make this wedding happen. “Sono innamorato!” is all I can say, because this event happened from a series of unexpected and […]

Ivo and Winghem | Santuario De San Jose Wedding Photographer

I believe that it was serendipity that brought me face to face with Ivo during the tinghun of Evange and Lloyd last October 5, 2018. It had been many years since we saw each other.  I remembered her as a quiet girl back in college where we both belonged to the same political organization. In that meeting, Ivo expressed her desire to make me her photographer for her wedding.  So when Winghem proposed to her, she immediately called me. Ivo, like any bride, wanted her wedding to be dreamfully perfect.  So she and Winghem made sure that every detail of their preparation was according to their plans –  from the most elegant wedding dress to the plate set they wanted to use for the reception. Ivo and Winghem made sure that their guests were comfortable and that night would be memorable, not only for them but also for everyone present. Every detail was carefully planned out, checked, and re-checked. Comparing how carefully Ivo and Winghom’s wedding was planned out to what is happening to the world today, we can see that it’s easier to prepare for a wedding rather than for a pandemic because nobody really wants for something like this to happen. But this crisis actually gives us the opportunity to show how resilient and adaptable we human beings are. For us in Metrophoto, we realized that we needed to work together and cooperate in order to create a plan for whatever the future has in store for us. For […]

Raissa and Walton | An Escolta Pre-wedding

Living in a small world with big possibilities, it is not impossible to cross paths with people we’ve met in the past. This was exactly my experience with Raissa and Walton. Raissa was a block mate of mine in DLSU. But we had no opportunity to develop our friendship then because she was the shy type while I was the complete opposite :). It was, therefore, a pleasant surprise that I got to work with her when she and Walton decided to get Metrophoto for their pre-wedding shoot. Inspired by our history as college blockmates, I decided to do their pre-wedding shoot in the PNR station and in Escolta. Taking photos of this wonderful couple was both fun and easy. Whatever pose I asked them to do, they did so gamely and willingly. Because of this, it didn’t feel like work at all. Shooting Raissa and Walton’s pre-wedding brought back a lot of memories about college. It was great seeing quiet Raissa turning to a full-fledged Metrophoto bride. Kristina and Roel | An Intimate Manila Marriott Hotel Wedding

After a 6-month hiatus from shooting in hotels, I’m so glad to be back! I feel like we’re back to Q1 of 2020! Also, I was thrilled to be able to shoot a familiar face. I remember Kristina was part of the entourage of Krysel and Brian, a wedding that we shot 4 years ago. So when they booked me for their big day, I was quite sure that Kristina already knew how to be a #metrophotobride. It was a festive mood all throughout the day even if it started to rain really hard just when Kristina was about to go down the aisle. Nevertheless, no amount of rain can take away the smiles from the faces of the couple that day. The beauty and uniqueness of every wedding we shoot comes from the couple themselves. Yes, we enhance the beauty of the celebration through our angles and perspectives, but I won’t take it away from Kristina and Roel who obviously are the main reasons for this beautiful celebration. _____________ Suppliers: Photo: Paolo Nierves Coordination: Getting Married Gown: Leo Almodal Video: Notion in Motion Makeup: Mark Qua Hair: Renz Pangilinan Host: Kevin Lapena [shareprints gallery_id=”85274″ gallery_type=”masonry” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”medium” image_padding=”5″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”zoomin” lightbox_type=”slide” comments=”true” sharing=”true”]

Odice and Kurt | Manila Wedding Photographer

In a world so accustomed to change and all things temporary, fleeting feelings, and sudden shifts of emotions, it seems that love is no longer as glorious as it was. Then, there’s Odice and Kurt… A love story that unfolded in the most serendipitous way possible; it is as if their hearts paved a path to find each other and be together. Being the lensman to capture their special moment is like documenting a modern-day love story that is so special in its own way. Kurt is your typical gentleman with few words, often perceived as a snob, which he is well aware of. But when he is with Odice, there is something inside Kurt that lights up and makes him smile more. Odice is a simple lady, longing for someone to complete the missing pieces in her life. Their union was supposed to happen in 2021, but better blessings and circumstances prevailed, and now, the couple is walking into this beautiful occasion with two children by their side. While some couples downsized their guest list due to the impact of the pandemic, Odice and Kurt were very firm about holding a ceremony with less than a hundred guests from the start. Seeing how their relationship blossomed and how this intimate wedding happened between two completely different people finding refuge in each other’s hearts is truly extraordinary. Stories like this will always be a faithful reminder that what is yours will find its way to you, no matter who or […]

Kaira and Ken | East Ocean Palace Tinghun

I was not exactly Kaira’s first choice for a photographer but after she saw her older sister’s tinghun and wedding photos, there wasn’t much convincing needed; the photos spoke for themselves. Because of this, Kaira booked me a few hours before 2019 ended, and before we changed our rates for 2020. Here in Metrophoto, we do not brag about how good we are in taking photos. I hope you enjoy the photos of Kaira and Ken’s tinghun and see the effort behind them. ________________ Suppliers: Photo: Paolo Nierves Make-up: Jelly Eugenio Gown: Hannah Kong Video: Forevermine Wedding Films Coordination: Tinghun Tris Ceremony Table: IMAJIC Touch Styling: Teddy Manuel Plants and Tinghun Carriage: Rental PH Ceremony: East Ocean Palace [shareprints gallery_id=”81591″ gallery_type=”masonry” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”medium” image_padding=”5″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”zoomin” lightbox_type=”slide” comments=”true” sharing=”true”]

Daphne and Carrick | Bali Pre-wedding Photographer

My 3rd time in Bali but my first time to shoot there. It was an amazing experience! A couple like Daphne and Carrick who did not want to make their pre-wedding anything but ordinary wanted to incorporate not only the beautiful landscapes of Bali into their photos but also animals from camels, to giraffes, to zebras. What struck me the most about this couple is that they obviously love to have their picture taken. Not only was this evident during the shoot itself, but also before the trip. They researched carefully places where we can do the shoot. They made sure to make this shoot their own and leave their own handiwork, most especially our now metrobride Daphne, in every photo taken. Enjoy the wild, the outgoing and the adventurous photos of Daphne and Carrick in Bali. ______________ Suppliers: Photo: Paolo Nierves Make-up: Mark Qua Styling: Miss Keith Manila [shareprints gallery_id=”71980″ gallery_type=”masonry” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”medium” image_padding=”5″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”zoomin” lightbox_type=”slide” comments=”true” sharing=”true”]
